I've had anywhere between single figures and high 30's in mine.

Now, either you're lying, or your car is different to all the LCR's I've driven.

The lowest mine will go, the lowest ANY I've driven will go, is 5MPG.

It isn't amazing, its a 1.8 litre petrol engine, its to be expected.

No Fox, it most certainly isn't. Getting good mpg from normaly aspirated engines isn't too difficult, but it's much harder work extracting similar economy from a turbocharged engine. The absolute best I have managed from the Coupe is 31mpg and that was being a model of self restraint. I'm not convinced it's worthy of a thread, but over 40mpg is exceptional for the state of tune of the engine.

Also you have to doubt the accuracy of these things anyway.

That wasn't my point. The actual lowest the car will display is 5MPG. The display cannot show lower than that.

5MPG is the lowest the display can show.

I got 37 US MPG a few weeks ago on a 30 mile trip. Thats like 43 UK MPG....from a 3.5 V6!!!

Admittedly A lot of neutral was being used

nah part of the job, we hit punters with standard 40 quid valet charge for that round these parts what irks me is the used needles we occasionaly get left


fox is just jealous because he bought a beemer rather than a Skoda

I frequently get 42mpg out of my Leon, mind it's 45 bhp short of the CR and that's quite a lot. Still getting above 30 is easy on 30mile+ distances. The ratio in 6th is longer on mine too as 70mph is just under 3k not over.
