I got that sticker on my new 360, LOT no 0741, manufacturer date is 2007-10-11 (is that October or November?), the drive IS quieter.

afaik m8 the only way to tell is to eject the tray and compare the piccies

tbh tho once ive had my benq up and running with a disc in i dont think theres much in it compared with my hitachi drive

its pretty hard to tell with the naked eye tbh all i was looking for was the missing inductor then i eventually could just make out the heatsink

I have a mate who has one from about a year ago, so he was asking what it was like, as this is my first I have no point of referrence so will be taking mine round to his so he can compare them lol.

who cares about falcons etc rip the cover off and buy a cooler fan with heat sensers etc and take off the cover over the pro and g/c and put some AS5 on it and then it goes so silent i can get some sleep

ps if u want too know how too take off cover and the bits u need let me know and i give u the info u need.

Had a replacement back for a dead 360 yesterday, They sent me a fully boxed Arcade package :confused:

(although my 360 had been a way for 40 days and I'd kicked up one hell of a fuss) it was a a 175 watt psu, BenQ drive Falcon. The whole thing does seem a lot quieter but it's over 40 days ago since I had a 360 on so I might have been imagining it.

P.S. How did I miss Boom Boom Rocket, there were so many things last night that I wanted to play which I hadn't been able to for ages yet I couldn't put this little gem down

This guy totally goes against the thread and says we dont need falcon, all we need to do is screw our warranties and put an added fan in our 360's. To which my reply was

What the hell was that about? We have already established that we will more than likely get a Falcon. Mr Men plain and simply came into the thread to contradict me, like he ALWAYS does. There was no basis for his comment as my 'retort' was fully justified.
