Getting a PSP tomorrow.. But what games?

I have tried both the PSP and DS and got a PSP. I never got a PS2 so all these games are new to me.

The DS is rubbish. The graphics are abismal compared to the PSP and the games are babyish and too old school for me. And i'm not spending another couple of hundred of pounds for a movie player when i can do this on a PSP.

I don't read anywhere that the DS can play movies or even surf the internet!

Just when we'd put the flaming to bed...

I've got both ds and psp...

one game that has always been in my library for the psp is Everybody's Golf (Mine's actually Hot Shots Golf) which is amazing, loco roco too.

I have a strong opinion about which console is better though.... ;)

LOL i dunno, i'll just get bashed for saying what a lot of people here think already.

IMO, the OP said he wanted something to play games every now and then, to kill short waits or an hour or 2.

Allow me to cross examine the witness ....

"have all the hype and 'look' really good but then are pants to play"

HOLD IT!

Aha...sounds like something I have....

"I wont regret it because its cheap and fun"

OBJECTION!

theres something IMO cheaper and more fun

"the psp has much more games with violence"

HOLD IT!

and that equates to what?

I dont think these are good reasons to get a PSP IMO (lets put an IMO in there), I have suggested one or 2 titles on the PSP i have and recommend, but as you said you were looking for fun and short games, and sometimes long playing games which are good. Its hard not to recommend a DS as its is cheaper, has better games IMO, and is more interesting to play. I have had a psp since a month before it came out. And even though I play it everynow and then i play the DS a LOT more.

I hope I am helping in someway (dons flame suit), but I just wanted to get that off my chest. There are a LOT of people who have both and prefer the DS, i assume a lot more than prefer the PSP.

I hope fellow DSers got the fun bit in my post...that game has me hooked!
I didnt quote to be pedantic...but just so i can say Objection.... :D

lol...

edit - Theres no doubt you'll have fun with your psp, but give the DS a go one day. its WELL worth it, and I would buy it even if it was twice the price.
