Getting a tattoo

1) have you got a tattoo?
2) Where is it?
3) Do you regret it?
4) any advice?

1) I have 5.
2) Arms and back.
3) Yes.
4) Don't get one.

I'm probably going to have to get two half sleeves done to undo the stupid tattoo's that I had done when about 19 that I thought were cool at the time but actually aren't.

Can you not get them lasered?

I don't have any tats at the moment. I'm 32 and always said I would get one if I found something I liked

The only thing I feel strongly enough about is Reading (the place) and Reading Football Club. So was thinking about getting a tattoo inspired by this - I honestly would die for it, it's such a big part of me.

Any advice? I'm not sure how to design it or place it.

1) Yes 2.
2) Scorpion on my shoulder that i got when i was 18. My second is a full sleeve which wraps over my shoulder and onto my chest.
3) Not in the slightest.
4) Find something that has meaning to you. If you're in for a long sitting (2hrs+) take food and drink.

Ive always had an interest in ancient Japanese culture (Geisha/Samurai/Coi - Dragon etc).

When I was deciding on which tattoo i wanted to get I did a lot of research. I knew I wanted something to symbolise my journey in life which is why I chose the Coi for my sleeve. I didn't realise just how much thought had to go into it! I wasn't aware that different colours on the Coi represented different things (finance/Love/Hate etc), Also the direction the Coi is facing represents something else entirely. Once I knew what I wanted I took this to my tattoist who was also a big fan of traditional Japanese Tattooing and he was able to come up with a design I loved.

1) have you got a tattoo? - No
2) Where is it? It is nowhere to be seen..
3) Do you regret it? Nope
4) any advice? Don't do it. Nothing worse than being an old man with shriveled up skin fronting massive tatts!

If you do get a tattoo consider the following

- Get it in black only
- In a place where you can hide it.... lol
- Don't get anything political or offensive
- Reading are crap choose a better team

That sucks :(

I hope you can get them covered up with something you do like in that case.

What are they of?

Whatever you do don't go on a lads holiday abroad, get drunk and decide it would be a good idea to all get a tattoo.
You might end up like a local lad who had "my mum has big ****" done on his back!

Just a bit of tribal, a dragon, some skull thing. Just generally crap tattoo's that don't go with anything.

There's a great studio in Cheltenham called NR that I'm going to go and see for a quote.

Myself and my missus have about 100+ hours of tattoos between us. We both love them all!

Each to their own but I think great tattoos look awesome.

That's a lot cuts on her lower arm

OP my advice is get a sharpie pen and get your misses or a friend to draw a rough outline of the kind of size of tattoo you want in the place you want it. When it fades draw it back in for about 4-6 months. If you are sure you want it the go for it.

1) have you got a tattoo/where is it?
I've got a half body suit, my wrists and a calf tattoo.

3) Do you regret it?
Not at all.

4) any advice?
Don't get the cheapest parlour possible. Have a look at their previous work, there is no point asking for a coloured realistic portrait from someone that specialises in grey scale geometric patterns for example. Don't half measure it either, the only tattoo I regret was a small one on my back when I was 17 with a fake ID. I got it covered up with the full back piece later but knowing what I do now I'd have got a full sized piece to begin with.

Edit:
Oh, and don't go for more than 6 hours in a sitting. I done 8 hours once and come the end of it I was basically holding back the tears. Anything under 4 hours is painless and 5-6 hours is the sweet spot.

1 - Yes, 4
2 - 1 on each side of my chest, 1 on the top of each arm.
3 - I don't regret any of my tattoos, I do regret letting a crap inker do one of them.
4 - Nopes.
