Could be cheaper than special delivery fully insured![]()
No, it will be £6.70 for a 1kg package with £500 insurance (£5.40 if you can get the package under 500g). Very good price for what it is.

If you live that close then deliver it yourself then you can be sure there wil be no scam! Or reply to him that you have work in the area next week so we deliver the item has it's cheaper then sending it by post and see what his reply is

sorry, while I am not syaing it isn't a scam, what do folks find fishy ?
Not smelling a scam there...?
Some ppl don't like waiting... for anything. Pay now, minimal fuss, send me my goods, etc.
This person has sent me two 1 line emails regarding the sale. Which I find strange for the money involved.

Actually delivering in person is a terrible idea. You ONLY do it when the person pays in cash.
Otherwise you have no proof it was delivered. Simple, unclaimed goods claim, and you are ****ed.
. For the price of £6 that at all bad sd could look at courier like ups as the have to sign for it and you can see on website tracking who and address of signatureClose mate. 30 mins - 45 mins depending on traffic
If it does go wrong, its not starship mileage to go knock a door though
Doesn't seem strange really? I've bought a fair amount of things that are pretty valuable and not said anything to the seller, you just assume that they will put it in the post![]()
Yea I just thought of that unless you get a picture with him holdin the parcel. For the price of £6 that at all bad sd could look at courier like ups as the have to sign for it and you can see on website tracking who and address of signature
Do not send it via recorded delivery.
Special Delivery only. Even if you listed recorded delivery, fork out for special delivery. Also sign into your paypal account (type the address yourself) and then for the transaction look at what I've highlighted in yellow:

If it says eligible, the you have the protection below. Obviously, it should also say confirmed in green.
Read the terms, and follow them to the letter.
It says partially eligible in the yellow box.
Shall I bite the bullet and send it special delivery royal mail? Having taken pictures etc?
Items sold on eBay will be marked eligible even if the shipping address is marked unconfirmed. Generally, items sold on websites other than eBay will be marked eligible if the shipping address is marked confirmed and partially eligible (that is, eligible for Item Not Received only) if the shipping address is marked unconfirmed.
Is it a confirmed address? Look under the address. If not, do not send. Instead ask the buyer to get his/her address confirmed on paypal.
Also, would be helpful if you click on it and find out what it means by partially eligible.
edit:
Here are all the T&C for paypal seller protection

Partially eligible means you are not protected against unauthorised payments, i.e. stolen credit card.
