gf's computer what can this handle?

Hi all,

my gf has a computer from a well known manufacture that only deal online..

2GIG RAM
500GIG HDD
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8GHZ
ATI HD 3540
Vista

She loves settlers type games , she has settlers 2 (anniversary edition)

So if anyone can spec something would be handy

settlers 3 and probably 4 (edit - and apparantly a 5 and 6 I didnt know existed), caesar III and probably IV, civilisation III, age of empires/mythology...

Bit RTS though. I have no experience between my current i7 and my old AMD sempron 2800, would this rig run anno 1404? Even on min settings, it's well worth it for the fun factor - and if she likes Settlers, she'll love it.

If you/she wants to play games on that PC then you could just buy a cheap graphics card and you will be able to play most games. It's a good PC really.

Try a demo of Majesty 2. Not played it, but I would associate it with Settlers style game if it's the same style as its predecessor.

I have a HD2600pro in my media centre, that plays L4D ok, but struggles with TF2

At what resolution and settings though? These guys are acting like it can't run any 'proper' 3D games whatsoever. I doubt most OEM PCs have monitors capable of above 1280x1024.
