I have some 6 hours and it seems so far better than Wildlands, in that it is more immersive and atmospheric. Eventhough Auroa is not as beautiful as Bolivia.
It is necessary to disable temporal injection though. With it enabled the game is a blurry mess, it is like a parody of DLSS. Without it, it is nice and crisp and sharp. Although of course the temporal injection increases framerate (a LOT).

So far there are three things I dislike:

- no ability to holster guns when out in the field (what a dumb thing when the animations are already there)
- weird 20 milisecond lag between voiced dialogue and lipsync, which really harms the dialogue scenes
- unnecessarily complicated and unintuitive GUI (I am getting used to it though)

Everything else I like. Especially the immersive and nonguided mode and larger focus on movie like presentation.
 
After reinstalling it I've got a lot more enjoyment thanks to the AI buddies and now continuing to follow the actual story, the AI are slow to react sometimes but they have also saved my ass a few times.
I'm playing mostly from rocket helicopters to attack bases before landing and sometimes having to evade missiles by swerving all over the place.

One of the most annoying things is the constant 'dangerous area' warnings that keep popping up and is even worse when blocking the view whilst driving fast, what is the point of this when the whole place is apparently dangerous.
 
Yep, this new patch (although that is an understatement, its more like 2.0) has transformed the game.

All my bullet drop lag has gone and am now playing through the game in Survival mode, with AI team-mates enabled.

Now that MGS is dead and Snake retired, Breakpoint is not bad at all as a MGS5 simulator. Even if it lacks the Kojima brand of bats crazy.
 
Downloaded the Motherland update to check it out. Does anyone know if you can continue to play the original campaign (I'm about half way through) but also jump into Motherland and try that, sort of having them run concurrently so you can play either as you wish each time you load the game up?

I've been on the fence about this game for ages- one thing that was putting me off, was one mention of the amount of unnecessary drones! (maybe worthabuys video?)
Has this changed with the new update? as it is looking rather good!

I haven’t seen WaB but his review was on release and the game then wasn’t in a good place. It starts fine but after a few hours you see what’s on offer gameplay wise and it’s disappointing.

over time they have added new modes, added the additional squad members back in, and too much other stuff to list. The new motherland update is huge (and free) and finally gives breakpoint a game that should have been here on release. It’s taken them almost 2 years to get there sadly but if you haven’t tried it or played since release it’s worth a try now.
 
re-downloading this i remember buying it for <£10 trying & having some issues so unistalled it but cant remember why.. but i want a good shooter so worth another go

i think it might of been the gun play
 
Loving Motherland so far, new Bodarks are a bit more of a challenge than Greenstone enemy NPC's including the Wolves. Liking the optical camo, gives you more options for approaching targets although it doesn't last long - guess I need to seek out the camo point caches and get killing Behemoths.
 
Installed & uninstalled in 20 minutes what is it with Ubisoft doing stupid crap?

Here are the issues:
1) 100FPS but the response to controls from controller are super laggy Yet its fine in EVERY other game including ubisoft games

2) load game, get 3 advertisements for "motherland" on the home screen. no exit button just LEARN MORE... i dont care let me game

3) Load the game up, loads me into a save to a place in the world, I never been before with a character I didn't create

4). Walk to 2 steps ADVERTISEMENT that covers the screen - you now have motherland NO ******

5) close ADVERTISEMENT, walk 5 steps ADVERTISEMENT you have now unlocked motherland XXXX

6) walk 4 steps YOU now have Motherland with loads of new content & weapons & mission - Seriously **** off

7) walk 5 steps - bar in my screen "you can upgrade your TEAM click button for TUTORIAL" (no exit button again)

8) tutorial times out as I get shot in the head

9) reload the save now I have 10 health & walking super slow

10) you now have motherland - NO ******

11) ADVERTISEMENT: YOU HAVE MOTHERLAND!

12) Game Closed - not having this crap

Serious UBisoft really did this?... So bad
