**Ghost Recon Wildlands** Official thread

Wow at the absolute rage I felt when a pig walked in front of my sniper just as I took a shot and gave my position away.

I seem to have worked out how helicopters work now which is a must for getting around the gigantic map!

Sadly i have to play it at 1080p @ Very high to hit a stable 70-80fps, ultra gives 40-60

And thats with an i7 6700k, 16gb DDR4@3000mhz & an EVGA GTX 1080ftw..

Enjoyable thus far though.

In the beta I was getting better fps at ultra 1440p (6700k,16gb,1080 also). One thing to check is the GRW.exe process in task manager - in the beta it was running in high priority, changing it to normal priority gave me better performance (I haven't picked up the game yet though so can't say about release version).

this game still has the same bug as the division where you may need to set your cpu utilization to 3 cores, for me this stops freezing and slowdowns just like the division, i like the game so far, looks great, driving is better when using a bad, kb and mouse on foot

What i found help getting my fps stable was disabling controller in options, if you haven't got one plugged in it still tries polling to find it and that was causing dips for me.

Is this a game you can play on your own? How easy is it to command the AI units in your team?

Not really one for playing with others online these days.

Yes, The ally AI is ok as it rarely gets spotted or dies unless directly from a command you make. I usually use them for supporting fire whilst I do the majority of sneaking and killing and for the sync shot ability.

Anyone else find the AI of other things odd though? I was chasing a lieutenant and he stopped behind a UNIDAD blockade. I cleared the blockade and somehow the lieutenant climbed onto his car which was now sideways. As I ran up the road to retrieve him, a truck came and knocked the car killing the lieutenant and myself as the car rebounded into me.

The GMG deal has gone... looks like I'll be waiting for a Steam sale to pick this one up then. Fingers crossed they sort out the poor performance. The singular review on Amazon for the PC version is 1-star, apparently the game ran terribly for that person who bought it.

'I couldn't get more than 10FPS on my GTX 460 at 4K so the game is rubbish. Probably.'

I managed a much better FPS OCing my CPU to 4.5ghz, GPU to 2050mhz and ram to 3000mhz..

But i decided to refund it regardless, not enough character or charm for me.. Seriously pulling my hair out when looking for a game to actually enjoy nowadays.. perhaps i'm getting too old for this stuff..

Witcher 3 if you haven't played it.

Seriously? This game is this demanding?

With:
i7 6700k @ 4.5ghz (Corsair h105 AIO)
EVGA GTX 1080 FTW @ 2050mhz
16gb DDR4 Corsair LED @ 3000mhz
MSI GA-Z170X-Ultra Gaming
EVGA G2 Supernova 650w 80+ gold

On Very high @ 1080p i get 90-120fps
On Ultra @ 1080p i get 50-70fps

It is pretty demanding unfortunatley :(

That's ridiculous to be honest! I'm contemplating upgrading from a 970 to a 1070 for 1200p gaming.

Rather, a 480 gets only 20-60% GPU usage while I get 99% on my 970. And a GTX 1080 is required to max the game at 1080p. Forget 4k, I'm talking the resolutions people actually play at. How do games like Far Cry 4 and MGS5 run better with way less pop-in? And then look at all the posts since.

Thanks. Is it easy to order them around? More thinking when you under-fire you don't want to have to pause for more than a second to give an order.

I use a 360 pad to play and it is right bumper and then the right stick to select fire. If you are under fire they will retaliate themselves anyway.
