Gibbo ETA for 3900x?

I hope you chaps getting Monday deliveries will have someone at home just in case because my order that was due Wednesday failed because no one was home and even though I have a preferred neighbour set who was home my parcel was taken away. Luckily I was about to take a short notice holiday from work to recieve it Thursday. In the DPD app I wanted to change delivery address to my work but the function was blocked and if I understood it correctly OcUK has to allow those parameters so it maybe preferred neighbour delivery was blocked too.

Just beware :)

It was quite hsndy that I could get mine sent to local Homebase for collection. As a result, think this was first delivery from the depot and I could then just go and collect by 9.15am!

Awaiting the batch codes from those that receive their CPU's yesterday and today. Anyone have them yet, or are you too busy building? :)

I'm holding off on ordering until the price drops back down a little. Wasn't able to order at release, and at this point I don't really want to pay the £50 scarcity premium that's been put onto them. My 4790k's gotten me this far that I don't mind going a few more weeks until supply ramps up and prices hopefully start to drop back down again, plus it gives time for the mobo makers to fix their bioses.
Just hope it doesn't take too long, I am itching to upgrade!

3950X is meant to be September which should knock 3900X prices back down as they're not the top dog any longer.

Nahhh, don't see that at all. As i look at it at the moment, the 3950x launch will be a damp squib because just like the 3900x launch............there will be no parts. Annoying for me i must admit because the 3950x is what i want. But, we are where we are.

If the newer chips where made a week after release it looks like they've underestimated demand and have had enough chiplets to ramp up production.
