Gibbo you need to get a massive load of these in..

OcuK have no chance of getting any.

Arctic Accelero Hybrid VGA Cooler @ £74.99 inc VAT

HS-065-AR_400.jpg

The Accelero Hybrid is the first on the market with an integrated VGA liquid cooler air cooler. Compared with the standard cooler, offers this all-in-one cooling solution 200% more cooling capacity of 9-times less noise. While existing VGA Liquid Cooling Solutions (LCS) can be used only for certain single graphics card, this cooler is compatible with a vast array of NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards. He is also the first LCS, which has an integrated fan that is designed to effectively cool RAM and voltage regulator. In addition, the Accelero Hybrid maintenance free and offers a worthwhile price / performance ratio. Computer enthusiasts and gamers will definitely not want to miss this "state of the art".

Unmatched cooling performance
An F12 (120 mm PWM fan), a high-performance heat exchanger and the award winning MX-4 thermal compound conduct heat effectively from the GPU - all with 200% more cooling power than the stock cooler.

Improved RAM and voltage regulator cooling
The Accelero Hybrid has an active cooling of RAM and voltage regulator. Consisting of heat sinks that are attached using a special thermal adhesive on the components and a 80 mm fan that not only dissipates the heat from these components, but also simultaneously cools surrounding components.

Almost noiseless
Thanks to the PWM control the speed of the fan of the GPU load is adjusted accordingly. Which means that the speed of the fan only increased when it is necessary, and otherwise they run at the minimum speed. The PWM settings depending on your preference, benefit or be modified relative noise level. Here you can find more information about PWM settings.

the 7970 needs a shim but the 290 core is flush with the core surround so i dont think a shim will be required

i will test on monday when the acceleros arrive.

Ile get your coat Matt :D Good work OcUK and no hanging about.

Fair do's. Arctic told me themselves the 7970 version is EOL though. That's all i ever said and that is still correct.

EOL does not mean not still available though. Just means end of line by the manufacturer, stock can still be sitting in warehouses, as RJK has proven by finding some. :)

How many you have on the way gibbo? I don't get paid till monday so can't pre-order any until then and don't to go without seen as I suggested you guys get them in..

These should be quite popular with the people thinking of getting a 290 or 290X.

What sort of temps can you expect to see using one of these over a lets say an EK block or the stock cooler on an iceQ card?

Looking at you LtMatt as you have tried one on your 7970 :)

Buy an Nvidia version and use the shim.... That way you can use it on either AMD or Nvidia.

If you buy the AMD version you can't use it on Nvidia.

Yep thats what i said from the start. However the shim won't be needed for the 290X as the core is flat so just need to wait till he can test to see if it fits.

Will be interested if they make any difference to the 290x if it fits..

Hell i really need to do the water cooling thing properly might be time to start looking at guides before i buy my GPU.

Custom loop with a good block like ek will wipe the floor with one of these, a good loop on a 7970 would give you high volt/clock temps in the low to mid 40's.
