If you have at least 2 slots of space between the cards, any good cooler should work. Else, yes- the blower coolers on the reference cards will be best (and noisy).

Zero space between cards - Forget it.
One space between cards - Reference is best or something like the Sapphire which has powerful fans.
Two space between cards - Pretty much all models are fine.

Also a good point. I can't use the final slot on my mobo for several reasons. One my case is too small. Two the psu gives the third slot card no room to breathe. Three my third pci-e slot runs at x4. :o

Same here, if i was using amd cards. The board is 3 way xfire compatible, (dual sli). But the 3rd slot is x4. I couldnt even run my pcie audio card in it when i had sli as it meant the cards wouldnt run sli. Had the opportunity to buy a Maximus VI extreme a few weeks ago but passed on it.

Thanks Gibbo, am going to order a new rig with 3 of these for sat delivery :)

Will 3 of them in an open HAF XB case ok? 2 of them close together the other spaced..

Also, what PSU in stock would you reccomend to power 3 of these?

Each card should at least have a small space between them, about an inch, otherwise they could get too hot.
