Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P Flat QD-OLED: 32" 4K 240Hz with DisplayPort 2.1, KVM

what have people been cleaning the screen with? think it's finally got to the point where I should give it a go.

I've got some distilled water.

ASUS recommend rubbing alcohol as far as I know (disclaimer: you should verify this on their website!). Ethanol + distilled water.

I bought some, although it’s not available from the usual mass market places. Cleaned my screens pretty amazing tbh.

iv always just used a damp cloth to clean the screen, and then a dry microfibre to wipe off and dry, perfect every time no streaks

Is it worth it? Making a new 5090 system, but will most likely be single monitor... Looking at this and PG32UCDM
If you plan on using 50 series GPU? Or dislike DSC. I heard the FO32U2P doesn't get as bright as the PG32UCDM. I have no personal experience with either, but the PG32UCDM is priced better atm in the UK. I'd probably wait for next monitors to release in coming months so the prices drop a bit, if you can wait. If it doesn't matter then get the Asus while it's under 1K

Does anyone have this monitor and can confirm how well (or not) gsync works with the Nvidia Gsync Pendulum demo?

I.e. if fps 60 means monitor hz is also 60 and varies the Hz as fps changes up to 240hz / 240fps.

Doesn't seem to work with this demo that well. The Gysnc option isn't available.

I don't see tearing at any FPS, so it seems like Gysnc is working though.

Interesting, could you take a video please similar to this. Ideally with monitor OSD showing Hz if thats a thing on it.

Im surprised Gsync is working at any fps, down to even quite low like 20.
Maybe try setting Gsync to enabled and in Nvidia control panel setting set monitor tech to Gsync and Vsync set to Off

@Guest2, sure:

This is with the monitor at a nominal 240Hz frame rate, and with both VRR and Gsync enabled.

It was recorded at 4K 60Hz and downsampled to 1080p 60Hz. The downsampling introduced some blurring but can say the overall subjective experience is well captured by the video.

Did you try 40 - 60fps?
I dont think its using Gsync for 40fps, its looks pretty janky compared to mine at 40. I doubt its using Gsync at all until it hits 60fps looking at that.

Thanks though. Will probably stick to buying a Gsync or Gsync ultimate screen (being it IPS or OLED)

My bad; I should have explicitly noted the demo doesn't allow me to enable G-SYNC (in the video can see me try and toggle it at the top left but it not taking).

If I had to guess why, this is a 12 year old demo and its likely still looking for the physical G-SYNC hardware rather than accepting the driver-level configuration for the feature, allowed since Nvidia's policy change around hardware and certification. G-SYNC is enabled in general as below and works in game.

I'm not familiar with the demo but it does look a bit off. Pendulum might not be the best test given it's not using Gsync; happy to record a game for you if that will help you.

From my understanding all the gsync compatible 32" 240hz OLEDs only support VRR down to 48hz

You can see this on the list here https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/

Some of the odd ones that say they support down to 40hz is really only down to 48hz

Like the AW3225QF says 40-240hz but from what i have seen posted it really 48-240hz so take some of these VRR numbers with a large pinch of salt :cry::cry:

The G-Sync option only works for me in this demo if i click the (Enable G-SYNC for window mode & full screen mode) setting in the nvidia control panel ;)
