Gigabyte customer service how do you rate it

Infact Youdsy I have spoken to our RMA team and this is not the procedure we would take so it sounds like the reseller is looking to resolve it themselves.

Please contact me and I will give you details to RMA the board directly with us and we will either fix or give you a equivalent replacement.

thats great if you can give me equivalent board or even fix it. gigabyte have said that they cant fix it though. the board may still be at gigabyte at the moment.

sent you message giga man.

Damn this thread...

I was all set on the Asus sabertooth X79, now Im wondering whether to go with a gigabyte x79 mobo as a UK RMA centre is very important if things go wrong, and I have seen some posts moaning about Asus service..
Goes off to research..

customer service is out standing ,with myself it was a 4 day turn around with gigabyte , with Asus just over 6 weeks

Touch wood, I've personally had no problems with my Gigabyte products so I couldn't comment but from what I've heard from a friend of mine who did have some troubles with a motherboard he bought, he said he had no problems.

But why does the three year Gigabyte warranty start from manufacture date and not purchase date?

That is pretty standard industry practice, think about it gigabyte know exactly when they manufactured the board but can not be sure when you purchased it as reseller invoices very rarely show a serial number.

I'm happy to read that gigabyte has good customer service, I have just ordered a board because it looked awesome and has great reviews, but its good to know there is backup if anything goes wrong :)

That good to know and exactly how a warranty should work.

From manufacture date if you can't find your receipt, from purchase date if you can.

I'm happy to say that after finding this thread while searching out a new motherboard I decided on Gigabyte. I have had a few over the years and they always seemed robust (one of my Socket 7 boards I only just recently got rid of) but I had switched to Asus for the last few builds for one reason or another.

Giga-man, can you tell me when will the socket Gigbyte 1155 Z68 Gen3 boards be available in the UK? I already got a 2500K and the DDR3 rams on the way, and is only short of getting a motherboard. I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the Asus P8Z68-V GEN3...but really want to see if Gigabyte got something equivalent, as I would imagine if anything goes wrong, it would be easier to sort out since I live in Milton Keynes as well.
