Gigabyte rma help

Glad you got it sorted, sorry for not replying. I have been away working and planning the EGX show, it's been a little busy.
Thank you for replying sir, it Didnt actually get sorted yet as they seem to think its working fine, however it crashed,showed artifacts and didnt boot after crashing in my brothers system too :-( ive got a feeling they will send it back to me soon which kinda sucks, thanks again for your input.

@GIGA-Man
Sorry to hijack this thread, but wondering if you can help me out.

My 1060 6gb Windforce OC, the fan closest to all the display ports (the anti-clockwise fan) is making a rattling sound and it needs replacing. Thing is, I don't really want to lose my graphics card for a few weeks over a relatively minor, non-performance impacting issue. Is there any way for the repairs team to just mail me a replacement fan?

We need to do all repairs to keep the warranty valid, it should only take a few working days to fix if you do it with us directly. Email [email protected] and mention you have talked with me and I will keep an eye on the RMA for you.

@GIGA-Man Can you tell me does the gigabyte z370p d3 motherboard come with a default program to update the bios when the PC is running. I got my son his first gaming pc and this board came with it I want him to be able to update it without me doing it

You can use the GIGABYTE app centre, it wont auto update but you can check and install new updates using it.

If they send it back and you do still have issues let me know, I will chase up a report for you and make sure to get it picked up and swapped.

@GIGA-Man (sorry to ping)

I have a GTX 1080 Windforce I bought used (with invoice for buying used - but no original one) that, when the fan speed is set to around 65% or above - or the GPU is pushed in benchmarks and the fan approaches that automatically, it starts a grinding / clicking sound coming from the front fan.

This only happens when the card is in a horizontal orientation (say, in a tower rig) - with the fans facing the ground - and not when in a testbench where it is vertical, which makes me think that it's a loose cable under one of the fans. However, the second fan's cable looks more raised and that isn't noisy at all.

Would I be able to get a replacement or repair for this? It's a small issue but given I'm looking to upgrade soon I want to make sure it's all good when I come to sell it to fund a replacement.

Hi Tom,

You can raise an RMA with [email protected] and we can try and replace the unit. Make sure you detail the fan issue in the RMA as you have above to make sure they have all the details. It might not be possible for us to replace the card whoever, we need the original invoice. Technically warranty is not transferable, if you can get the original invoice we can support. We have to do this to stop fraudulent RMA claims but I will do my best to support you.
