Heh. I've just tried it and it behaved differently: I have a 7-minute video of Aorus Engine running Core 0 of the CPU at 100%.

@GIGA-Man, belay that - I tried again after a reboot and it shut down on me in the manner I previously described.

How do I get the file to you? It's a 20 MB file.

To answer an earlier question, this is not now a fresh install. It was a fresh install at one point during this process - 3rd Oct 2018.

Right. After using VLC to encode videos for Youtube only to have them rejected, I uploaded the 250 MB original and Youtube accepted it here:

The Acer Nitro doesn't appear to have any power saving set. The Dell turns the buttons off during Standby and DP Deep Sleep is OFF on the Asus.

I have themodel with the Micron RAM so I haven't tried it.

I noticed that the Aorus Engine software was updated so I tried it and there's no change: I still get the shutdown issue.

The funny thing is that now I've got my PC away in the far corner, I'd like to try running my GPU at full blast. Except it's locked in quiet mode! I can't get in to Aorus Engine to change it.

I hope you sort this out. I read this thread before I joined the forum and it really put me off these cards
