I think you will find warranty starts from the day of purchase by the consumer, as with all products sold in the UK.

The question is...did you or did you not approach Gigabyte with a receipt/invoice from a recognised UK reseller/retailer (OcUK in this case)? Cause without prove of purchase, the chances are the best that Gigabyte can do is counting the warranty from the manufactured date.I bought a graphics card (8800GT) from OcUK with a three year warranty. When it developed a fault after 2.5 years OcUK advised me to contact Gigabyte. Gigabyte refused to give me a RMA stating warranty starts from manufacture date which they can tell from the serial number. Maybe I should have gone back to OcUK but I did not pursue it any further..
