Gigabyte Z77-D3H Owners, Which Graphic cards you have?

Cheer Niroe, that's very helpful. OK, so maybe the BIOS doesn't have the option to force x16 then...

Either way, I can't even get booted now. Graphics freeze on the "starting windows" screen, and the system continues to boot. RDP in gives me the same error as above in Windows.

Getting pretty hacked off with this board tbh, tempted just to drive to my local retailer and pick up an alternative.

did you try that what i posted above? try that first then if no luck i would request an rma with gigabyte and tell them the problem, maybe post a link to this thread, they will either send you a custom bios or ask you to return the board for testing/replacement

id certainly try the above first as it might get it working, that slot should work at 16x

the freezing could be down to not recognizing the gpu properly

Sorry Wazza, hit post before I'd finished typing. Nature was yelling lol.

Yeah, I've tried exactly what you/that guy suggested. I agree, there's no reason why that slot shouldn't work at x16. At the moment, it's not working full stop. Pretty awful tbh, I'm half tempted to put the i3 back in and see where that gets me.

I've raised a support request with GB, but no reply as yet. Not even a confirmation my fault has been raised. Suckage.

Sadly I needed a machine for tonight, so I've just nipped out to grab a board so I'll get this RMA'd and give it to my brother as an upgrade for him.

Haven't got the time that I used to have to sit and troubleshoot hardware that should work out of the box sadly. :(
