i laughed when a eyewitnesses said she saw a member of the public punch the guy in the face (i presume the guy who was on fire)

A prime example that eye witnesses can be shockingly inaccurate, but I started my first post in this thread saying that it was too early to be sure about anything as we had only eye witnesses to go on.
That's the problem with eye witnesses - I can't stand the term itself! They're often wrong.
They feed the media what they think they saw, and the media in turn whips it all into a big pot of hysteria and paranoia before any facts are brought forward. Granted, such facts can take days, but the media doesn't have days in the age of Breaking News.

But then it is the third terrorist attack on the UK in two days, and has come closer to killing people and causing damage than the previous two.

Third terrorist attack? Which were the other 2?

thats overreaction imho. they could have evacuated a single floor but a whole hospital doesnt make any sense to me

its standard procedure I believe, in case he has biological weapons, disease etc on him

 Well, even in your video link above the guy who knocked him down said as I quote "Asian fella was rather large, I would'nt have been able to knock him down if he hadn’t already have been disorientated."
