Glastonbury

Yeah I saw that. He switched his loop back on
though which still had the broken guitar's tuning. :D Amazingly popular artist though, commanding 200,000 people and no band behind him.

I find it incredible how much presence he has on stage with only a small guitar and himself.

must say i prefer him live than his studio stuff.

the way he uses the loops live is mindblowing to me.

After this year's truly awful headliners, no thanks. :p

Have you ever been to the Glastonbury festival?
If so, did you ever leave the main stage field?

I think I went to Glastonbury 7 times, and I only went to watch in all of those goings one headline band on the main stage.
In fact I only ever watched two performances all the way through on the main stage.

I haven't no, but none of the other stuff really interested me either. Mostly indie rubbish.

TBH you are sounding foolish now....You are going on what you have seen broadcast nothing more.

No I'm going by what I read on the list of artists when it's announced and having a search on what they are. I've never been a fan of festivals because my music taste isn't too varied tbh.

I have been to Glasto twice....I really don't think you can comment unless you have been....Its not just about the music....It's bigger than that.

Its the shared experience with other Human beings.....It sounds odd But you can feel it....

I fell asleep waiting for the Manics....Me and the GF ....We were right in the crowd and the crowd had formed a linked circle with their arms to protect us....

Its a great place :)

I've been underwhelmed tbh....

I agree with the comments above...I thought Radiohead sound and mix was way off...

The Foos played to long

And Ed Sheeran ffs...

Chic where great though....

I went in 1999 and 2000

Manics and Bowie

I can see Harry Styles headlining next year lol

I found glasto to be oddly soulless in 94, I'll take idiot kids burning porta loo's at reading, any day!

Oh yeah I'd definitely enjoy it for the atmosphere. 100%. But solely for music I'd probably be left a bit disappointed. I don't tend to seek out new artists or anything these days and I'm very much set in my ways I guess (or probably just close minded). I mean, this is all I've listened to in the past month, and will probably be exactly the same next month give or take a few artists...

I prefer to go to normal gigs and just see my favourite bands, like Radiohead in two weeks.

I really enjoyed the London Gramma set... very atmospheric, and I love the range and quality of Hannah Reid's voice. Gibb's set was joyous and quite moving... and he is a genuine legend, but such a nice, ego free guy.

Glastonbury went downhill when they started making it safe. Guess its just a age thing but after being caught and bribing your way in with crunchie and some smoochie boochie the sitting down with the border control force and getting mashed before you went in was a giggle.

Music is the main driver for it, but there is just not the acts anymore due to the relentless exposure of everything. But for my penneth...

ED Sheeran (WTF useless and boring)
Radiohead...lost all interest in live performances from them. I shall just remember the good years I managed to get to see them.
Foo Fighters... Same old same. Rock on Rockstars still fun though and worth the effort.
K perry - Just leave the planet you nasty hag.

Highlights for were

Stormzy - Not really my type of music but a great show.
XX - Brilliant, love the stuff they do atm.

Best band over the weekend.

SLEAFORD MODS - These guys need to headline next year.

I thought you Foo's were Brilliant, they always are but I am a big fan so take that with a pinch of salt.

Watching it on TV is never as good as being there though.
