global gathering this year...

Weather's been pretty good here today for those joining in the fun, bit cloudy but no rain and more sun than I've seen in months.

Set to be the same tomorrow too from what I can tell so should be a good weekend. Been told by some mates that the queue to get in is silly so gonna hang on til about 9ish and see what happens.
 
im slightly gutted that i aint there :(

gotta love carl cox , one of my fav djs even though im not really into what he plays that much

edit - well thats me devestated , shes just doing her radio show from some hut at global :( ( and to be honest i wudnt even believe that just because im sure her show is pre recorded sometimes) . i was expecting someone to be on live :(

Anyone going tomorrow, you'd be well advised to take your wellies.

It's not quite Glastonbury but it's certainly not dry either.

Made the mistake of wearing trainers, which I lost numerous times in the bogs surrounding every tent, stage and bar and I'm now gonna have to bin.

I can only imagine it's going to get worse tomorrow when many thousands more people turn up...

Was on the phone to mate this morning who is at global, he said last night was an absolute shambles. Music was supposed to start at 5pm but they were so disorganised it didn't start until 8 when Pete tong was on the radio and even then they still weren't ready. Several acts were missed out and most of the others played in different orders so you couldn't plan who you wanted to see at all
 
Yeah it did seem a little thrown together, I think the recent bad weather meant it took them longer to set everything up.

I just wandered around and tried not to lose my shoes in the mud pits.

Heading back tonight for the D&B arena, although I've not quite managed to find my bed yet so it remains to be seen what kinda state I'm in later on this evening...

organization was spot on last year on the friday imo enjoyed it far more than the saturday mainly cos of the state i was in by Saturday night

all good unless youd been conned into buying a fake timetable lol
 
Feeling pretty rough right now, still not been to sleep after yesterday.

Was absolutely loving the Strongbow tent (had a real floor rather than mud which made dancing easier). Then headed to the godskitchen tent towards the end.

Digitalism and Above and Beyond were amazing and the highlights of the night for me

it really is awesome , i totally love them and there album at the moment

seen them dj ing before and doing the live act and both where bloomin great

even pogo which i normally hate is great live
 
Woooo! If anyone saw a man in a Dr Seuss hat or a man in a spiderman outfit that was me and my mate.

Loved it, Paul van Dyk played a cracking set (THIS IS AN ANTHEM FOR THE THE RISK OF LOVING YOU!). Ferry Corsten gave my hat the thumbs up, Eric Morillo played Red Carpet - Alright (my favourite tune)!!

Downloading PvD's mix as we speak :)

Edit: Was Kahn there? I swear I saw him..

Had to be a bit of a numpty really to think they were legit, they just looked fake as ****. A white band with 'FESTIVAL' written on and the crappest quality/design printouts of set times. Suppose if you'd never been before you wouldnt have known, but i'd never buy anything off anyone outside the site.

yea i know haha , one of my mates bought one last year at the station though the fool

in all fairness out train had been madly delayed so wed taken the oppurtunity to get well and truly drunk on it :o
