Yep, lots and lots of mud, was very hard not to slip over. My friend was walking along and suddenly found himself knee deep (literally) in it :(

Only went for the Saturday, absolutely loved it! Organisation seemed much better than Creamfields from the first moment I got to Stratford-upon-Avon station.

Saw Dave Pearce, Marcel Woods, Second Sun, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Eric Prydz.

Enjoyed all of it a lot but Marcel Woods was probably the person I enjoyed seeing the most. He had a lot of playtime from the other DJ's as well, Lemon Tree and his mix of Greece 2000 in particular.

Godskitchen tent was rammed for Eddie Halliwell's set as was to be expected. He didn't disappoint though, a very high energy set, then he dived into the crowd at the end. He was taking photos and signing things down the front during Jules' set. I managed to get my Global pass and programme signed by him which was awesome.

The Anthem was played about 5 times, that was the only downer for me! Once or twice I don't mind but everyone was hammering it.

Sander Van Doorn - Riff was a great tune there as well. Jules and Eddie both played it.

Personal highlight was jumping round and cheering to Marcel Woods playing Advanced.

Eric Pyrdz was the only person I left the Godskitchen tent for right near the end (4-5am) and he was really good, I was I would have seen more!

The mud was annoying but I didn't fall over or drop my phone while taking any of the many photos/videos I got.

Overall, a great time, would look to go again.

Hope everyone that went had a good time

jesus, that was the maddest night of my life, ever! yep the mud was bad but nothing my work and going out trainers couldnt take. I still thought i was on the carribean beach dancing with locals for some of the night.

My god we saw some sorry states there and on the way home. pics to come later when ive had some sleep in a new thread in GD

oh, my fav sets of the night were, armin van burren, paul van dyk, lisa lashes, andy whitby, edison factor, sander van doorn. Hixxy and storm also quite good too. Missed alex kidds set because we didnt get there till 6.20 which was very annoying but amazing night all the same.

Me and my mate had about 5 nights rolled into one

Yeh, Creamfields last year was appalling, at GG you could actually walk from one end to the other in less than 45 mins!!

Who else played Anthem? I only heard PvD (played when I saw him at Nation too hehe). I have to admit PvD, Erick Morillo and Sander van Doorn are the only full sets I heard due to swapping between tents etc so I prolly just missed them.

The lineup to Creamfields is pretty poor in comparison to last year (at least for trance) so I dunno if I will go, what you guys thinking?

yes, it was awesome, ive got some great vids aswell. Ill put them on youtube when after ive had some sleep

Went for the saturday was absolutely awesome 10x better than creamfields! Went with aaazza and some of our other mates, so literally in the godskitchen tent a lot of the time. Marcel Woods set was the best there and im really loving sander van doorn - riff which is THE tune of global gathering for me. All in all.. amazing and hopefully will return next year and pray for sun this time lol

No way, im actually well gutted that i missed Woods' set. Lost my mate on the friday night and he didnt know where we'd pitched our tent and both fones had died. So we thought balls to it we'll mooch to the arenas and hope we see him there. Was on our way to the site entrance when low and behold at 3:50 my mate appears coming from the car park with a couple of my other mates. Relief to find him, but then spent best part of an hour back at tent sorting stuff out lol so missed Mr Woods. Still buzzing i saw the rest though. Godskitchen line up never fails to impress. Probs the best line up they've had for a couple years in there.

It was sunny and baking hot every day over the weekend. I think you mean pray for dry weather and sun the weeks prior to global!

Weirdly, there are loads of people slating the event on the clubbing forum I am one.

One guys mates got jumped by chavs and had their phones stolen!

You'll only be able to get the Radio 1 Essential mix sets. They are the only ones that get released each year. God knows why though, they would make a killing on releasing all the sets.

I'm in the same boat, i really want Armins set, Ferry Corstens set, Sanders set and Above and Beyonds set!

I didn't see Above and Beyonds set (too laid back for my liking). Did they play 'Good for Me'?

Edit: Damnit just found a video of it on YouTube, would have been worth staying just to hear that :(

Was right near the front

Yeah never realised just how much better it is being near the front. Think thats why i enjoyed the Strongbow tent as it was small and you were near the dj.

Though i got 2/3 people back from the barrier for A & B and SVD and they were excellent
