global gathering this year...

just decided im definetly gunna to global go again this year ! as much as i love getting wasted there the leeds lineup just isnt doing anything for me :(

theres a few acts i love seeing or have wanted to see fo ryears on the lineup , faithless , basement jaxx, the always good 2 many djs...

to many unheard of electro acts that i love are starting to show the dates for it on there myspace sites

and none of the headliners have been announced yet . theyre announced on Friday on Pete tongs show and i really don't have a clue who they will be . :confused:

chemical brothers would be ideal but i have a feeling theyl give it a miss and do glasto :( they need to name someone as big as daft punk where last year and they need to do it quick
 
Last year was utterly amazing, particularly the Friday. Unbelieveable. Daft Punk owned it but everything that night was pure goodness.

Saturday would have been great if I hadn't been such a state from no sleep on Friday. Bleh. Did the same the year before.

Still by Saturday night the Bedrock tent dominated the show, Prydz was amazing. And loud. Very loud.

indeed the friday in the electric tent was probably the best night ever.

erol alkan and daft punk rocked the place apart.

really hope erol is down for this year too hes amazing every time i see him.

one of the only things ive ever agreed with in mixmag was them giving him DJ of the year for 06 :p

seen prydz a few weeks ago too , was good even if he did throw in a few slices of cheese


this year theyve said theyre going to space things out more , ie not all the electric stuff on the friday then all the godskitchen headliners on the saturday , apparently will have both on both nights this time.

I shall be going this year :D Just need to wait for the Mrs to get paid on the 18th of next month then I will be buying our tickets. Looking forward to the line-up on Tongys show.
 
Well this year i was fairly sure chems would be headlining Global, but now they have confirmed to headline Creamfields and Rockness i doubt they will do Global. Shame really, Faithless and Basement Jaxx aren't reallymy cup of tea for headliners. I think Armin Van Buuren will be the other main headliner this year.

Guess we will find out 2moro on tongys show.

yeh i know they are in mixmag, but what people cant understand is why make an effort to 'release' them officially on Tongys show when they have just spoilt it and chucked it in Mixmag, a lot of people are still expecting there to be at least ONE major headliner announced as it wouldnt make sense for Global/Godskitchen to reveal ALL before the official announcement.

And to the above poster, yes, prodigy would be sick.

click artists and a list of em comes up , not sure the headliners are on there though

its looking good for the music i like , seems to be allot more "electro" acts than last year but they had to make up for no daft punk someway i guess :p

rumors are that the main headliners are to be announced and i hope so because theres no one HUGE on that list
 
no one there tickles my fancy, looks like i might just stick with O2 wireless this year and save some cash to go to a good few next year!
 
allot there that would interest me tbh , just nothing that stand out as been special like there was last year :(


definetly be going to 02 wireless for daft punk though.


rockness is looking the best out of the dance festivals in terms of headliners though

cider house on the sunday is silly good considering its pretty much the smallest arena

i just hope the calvin harris special live performance is him hanging himself live on stage

hes ruined what would be (still is tbh) my fav tent lineup

Going to be a **** hot weekend though, cant wait.

I cant see Chris Lake on there though......he's on the first lineup list thingy. Unless he's counted as 'Guests'

Might save the cash and go Rebirth and Inno instead. Will see :)

The DnB tent is standard, so nothing really worth going to see.

The Air tent on friday looks pretty funky...

and on the Saturday ill be drawn between Random Concept (DnB tent) and Gods Kitchen. Prob end up going back and forth if i went.
