Asking people to do better than that, Is just going to make people go out and dig deeper, and this thread will go on and on. If i was you, I'd just get this thread closed, and ignore people.

You are your own man, You say what you like aslong as it's within forum rules. If people don't like the way you are, that's their tough look.
 
I can't help but feel this thread won't have any sensible resolutions.

I vote for closure after a day of arguementative rants and a fresh start for tomorrow :)

No, I wont. I'm not going to try any more. You're right, we're all wrong. I don't know what the 'well it's an internet forum' response is about, but maybe you should read that yourself. It's an internet forum - take whatever is said here like water off a ducks back. End of the road, for me.

P.S; it's not about us trying to 'prove' that you are how we percieve you, it's about you trying to 'prove' that our perceptions of you are wrong. [I say 'our' as I can now see why your posts get peoples backs up]

Sometimes you need to be abrupt with people to make them realise.

Although if you are genuinely receiving hate mail from people from here good for you for sticking your neck out and approaching it publically. I sincerely mean that.

This all seems a touch self centred though, as usual. :p

I'm not actually.
There was an hurtful email that tipped me over the edge this morning.

I just got fed up with accusations that I think 'I know it all' whenever I post something (and even when I apologise or retract) and whenever anybody starts a thread about a rock band and I mention I saw them that someone thinks I'm bragging.
It makes absolute sense that if 10 threads are started about xxxxx I will mention I first saw them supporting xxxx xxxxx because the OP might find it interesting.
Even in this thread posters have made up lies or quoted stuff out of context.
What really hurts are the emails I get for the most mundane things.
