Now now, you know it doesn't work like that .... if you want your username changed then you have to start a new thread asking them to do it and then have it changed to random names for a while until they get bored and give you what you want
My opinion is that when you get to the stage where the opinions/emails of anonymous, faceless, 100% inconsequential people on internet forums (no offence chaps) start to upset you, then you need to take a break from them for a while, possibly forever.
People trade personal (sometimes VERY personal) insults and talk tough because there's pretty much zero chance there will ever be any repercussions. Most of them don't say boo to a goose in real-life, and are probably frustrated by that, hence why it spills over into e-life. It's just drama, posturing, and for the most part completely harmless... it's part and parcel of the interweb. Don't let it get to you.

Now I don't frequent these forums much anymore, I tend to post/read for a few days then clear off for a good while. When I am here yours and a select few other names are the ones I recognise and spend my time reading (your IT thread was a good one, hit the nail on the head ) the rest I generally don't bother with much.
As for the coward who sent you a private e-mail to **** you off, I'd have started a new thread with that. Find out who else gets a slating via pm or e-mail, might make an interesting thread as the cowards get outed

Hold strong opinions - get greif for them. You can't please all of the people all of the time. If you voice strong opinions on a forum you will inevitably inadvertently **** a few people off along the way. Learn to accept this or stop sharing strong opinions with us.

dmpoole is one of the more interesting, knowledgeable and mature posters on this forum. Far above the majority of those who have now come in here moaning about him.
The posters that i can't STAND are the ones that try to be overly offensive at every opportunity. A prime example would be any Madeleine McCann thread...some of the TRIPE users (usually the same, pathetic group (you know who you are)) post in those threads actually makes me sick.
They are the users that should be kicked off these forums. They're the lowest of the low.
Why the moderators don't permaban these lowlifes I'll never know.

dmpoole if anyone acts like a **** to you, please tell the dons and give the emails over, I think you are a top bloke who gives useful advice way more than a lot of others on this forum does. I would hate it if some spoilt select few really ruined your time here. Don't let those chumps get to you, for every douche who takes a swipe there's 1000s who found what you've got to say is very substantial and compelling.
