That wasn't the 'old' Godzilla - that was the remake.

The original Godzilla was virtually indestructable and actually saved the world (or Japan) a couple of times.

i liked Godzilla as a kid. Both the amusing "men in suits" 70s films and the 80s cartoon with Godzuki

Matthew Broderick destroyed it for me in the 90s.

That was incredible; that trumpet/horn sound every so often really adds to the drama. Quite like being teased with just little parts of Godzilla shown too, though they shouldn't have shown the face.

From the 2 trailers, this film could already be my film of the year. If it's even 30% as good as I'm thinking it is then it'll be the film of 2014 already for me. lol

OK I'm a little bias towards anything with giant robots or giant monters mass murdering the insignificant human insects but still - this does like epic

There's two 'Mutos' I think - info extrapolated from the line of toys/merchanise. One is more insect-y and one is the flying/diving one.

This is looking more like it staying with the orignal theme with GZ fighting other monsters.. there is deffo a quick shot of other monsther in the trailer...
