Going bald before you're 40

For best results you're right it does need to be taken as early as possible. I've already started taking finasteride at the age of 27 before I get any hair loss.
Hasn’t finastride/propecia got some really bad reviews especially in the US over some serious side effects like impotence and loss of libido aswell as others that can’t be reversed? I would never risk things like that for the possibility of having more hair for a few extra years

The use of finasteride is associated with a low incidence of sexual problems within the first year, but the cochrane review on it showed that the rate was similar to the normal population after that.

Most of the negative stuff is case reports, stuff that rare I don't pay attention to or you wouldn't take paracetamol due to the case reports of liver failure.

Started getting a receding hair line in my teens. By my early 20's I had hair just around the sides. I keep it shaved low and have done for years.

Hasn't held me back. Maybe because it happened to me at such a young age I haven't really known any different. I can definitely see why its such a big deal for some people, but for me personally? No.

I'm happy to be who I am and I'm at peace with my lack of hair.

Anyway, baldness is a sign of virility don't ya know! :p
