Leaving aside the dress code of parents at the local Grammar school (hoodie tops, trackie bottoms), it seems the cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed, may his name never be taken in vain, has resurfaced in God's county in the small town of Batley. Ee bah goom as they say colloquially, is nowt sacred enny moor.

That was not a slight at the famous Ilkley Moor in case you were after suing the author, just any moor.

There could be ructions equal to cheating at t'shove ha'penny championships with local antihero Williamson of the department of edification becoming involved from the sideline. Get 'em off he shouts at nobody in particular.

Further instalments are definitely happening, sometime somewhere. :D

On a more serious note, shouldn't the police be breaking this up, or issueing fines rather than standing idly by watching? Also the rather naive teacher concerned has apparently gone into hiding, and I don't blame him/her. They should probably be thinking about moving away and changing their name...
 
No doubt that poor teacher will be fearing for his life and probably getting death threats from people of the religion of peace.

Their old life is most definitely over. Hopefully they can avoid getting their throat cut.

Don’t be daft, it’s only women they like to do that to. Marauding mobs of men are too much for our police to deal with.
 
And a second day of protests outside the school

A protester has warned they will stand outside of a Batley school every day until a teacher is sacked for allegedly showing pupils derogatory caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. Protesters have arrived outside Batley Grammar School for a second day after the teacher showed the "completely inappropriate" cartoon in a Religious Studies lesson. The teacher in question has been suspended and is believed to be under police protection due to the backlash from angry parents. But protestors are calling for the teacher to be sacked and say they will protest every day until that happens.

Police should fine these brainwashed idiots for breaking covid rules.

If the police have cause to actively protect the teacher then does that not mean they believe that these parents are a threat to life? If so why are they not being arrested for threatening behaviour
 
If they sack him we essentially have blasphemy laws for Islam. The school should be really firmly strong here like Macron was and say if you don’t like it **** off.

Well precisely. The whole thing is ridiculous and makes me angry. These parents basically want blood over a cartoon of another man-made god. It's fine to believe in something religious, absolutely. But it's way over the top when it needlessly becomes potentially life threatening. The teacher has been suspended, that's more than enough punishment. Why don't these parents just let it go now and move on.
 
Looking at the pictures from the school I doubt they are all parents, lots of young men there. The police need to jump on this quick.

Agreed. The police are treading on eggshells again. They should just lay the law down and arrest people who don't leave the protest and go home.
 
I think they should be given the right to protest. Its important that we allow this diverse and tolerant ecosystem we've built to not only be seen in practice, but to flourish.
