No way, never ever seen one but i'm going to assume they were never released in the UK? Then again its a private ad, could be badged up, i'm not saying it is but its not like its never happened before
I think they're very rare. I'd certainly never heard of them.
Out of the 11,000 Golf 4s for sale on that web site throughout Europe, there are 4 V5 4 Motions..

mobile.de has 12 for sale, out of over 1,500 V5s..

MrLOL, there have been plenty of posts that have fulfilled my need for info, im not expecting any more and have not asked for anymore so I don't understand your issue or why you, and others, feel so angry about his thread.

its not anger its confusion. you've said everything but what you actually wanted to know.

As i have said many times, I asked here because this is a generic motors forum, not some single model forum.
I might as well have asked somewhere else and saved all the pointless posts where people make assumptions and offer no useful information at all.

Come on mate, you know this place as well as I, surely you expected little else?

Confused because you refuse to believe that I am not, nor is anyone I know buying one.

Correct.

Why can people not ask for information on normal cars? Is there a rule against it?

Of course not, its just so unusual that somebody would ask for information on a normal car they have no interest in purchasing, would never purchase and know nobody who would purchase that it's almost certain that anyone asking for such info is, whether they care to admit it or not, considering purchase or aiding somebody else with a purchase.

Why else would you give a stuff about a Golf V5?

Even I'm not boring enough to casually ask a forum for more information on a run of the mill hatchback from two decades ago that I've got no intention of ever buying, and I'm a properly boring person.

V5 4motion rarer than rocking horse poo was a factory order only in the uk along with the tdi 4motion ie wasn't offered for sale but could be bought if requested

Fox, you get boring rather quickly, if you don't like something ignore it. You don't like this thread so ignore it.

It's true, when you ask for specific advice on a particular model, you'll end up with a whole thread of telling you to get something else.

But I must say the first thing I said was look at Toledos, rather than get a Golf V5.
Not completely irrelevant though :p

Morba you should have asked a different car forum - people here seem incapable of just answering a question without there being an ulterior motive or reason behind it, or telling you what you want without you wanting it. :/

I don't know much about the Golf V5 so can't really help you with your OP.

Perhaps him and some mates had been talking about cars and the V5 came up and he wanted to know a little more about it?

Perhaps he parked next to one in the car park and didn't know anything about them so thought he'd ask here.

I don't understand why people have such an issue with this thread, but also to the OP, you can't expect people not to compare the engine to others in the range.

I know, I don't mind people comparing for comparison purposes, most posts have been 'get x instead'

This thread wouldn't have decended into tripe if the OP added some context.

I know more than Housey anyway : Golf V5 - has 5 cylinders in a V and is a Golf
