Seriously, that's a monsterWould love to see some benches. Just over a grand for the lot? Not too bad to be honest. Thinking...
My only problem though is the lack of Rampage IV Extreme, and not having gone for the 2133 Mhz rams!
Out of curiosity - what would be the benefit of the 2133Mhz sticks over the 1866 stuff? It`s an extra hundred quid for 300mhz would that have any real advantage?
No, its just higher numbers that look pretty in CPUZ screenshots while benching
I simply like overclocking and like to see stuff running at more MHZ.
Oh no, for general PC use and gaming dont worry about ram speed, all you need is 1600 mhz 9-9-9. The CPU can still be overclocked with the ram left at 1600 Mhz.
Also you dont need LGA 2011 for your first build, stick to a 2500k.
LGA 2011 is an overclockers dream socket for both CPU and ram speeds, check this thread out, 8x8 Gb G Skill sticks @ 2600 Mhz

That stuffs gonna cost a massive fortune, though it isnt needed by anyone.
Getting LGA 2011 with slow ram is just lame when it works with 8 ram modules well beyond 2400 Mhz.
