BTW anybody know what the cheapest ESXi compatible SATA/SAS raid card is for these?
Has anybody looked if the CPU's can be swapped out?
I see there is a new HP Microserver (HP Micro N40L), Main change is slightly better CPU

Sadly the new model does not qualify for the £100 cashback
In my experience (two separate cashback claims a few months apart) the cheques will come on or shortly before the 28th day after they have received your documents, as the terms and conditions state.Emails saying they've received your claim form is the easy part, getting the cheque's is hard work.
I'm now awaiting 2, but nothing so far. Made contact with them and have had similar replies previously in this thread about awaiting funds from HP.
I'd be using the Q6600 system to for the VMs/training lab and the microserver for the NAS.Advice please...
I have and Hp Microserver and a spare system with the following config
Q6600 QUAD Core, with 8 GB of RAM microserver also has 8GB of RAM, which one would you use as your nas storage and which would you use for your esxi white box, would be looking to run 7 vms at a time for training lab....
Has anyone got an HD TV Tuner (DVB-T2) running on their Microserver at all? Is it up to the job?
anyone know how to put a 5450 into the server. i fitted it into the board but then trying to get the bracket into the slot at the back is just being a pain.
and the usb, vga and e sata ports seem to be just below were they should fit into. is anyone elses like this?
yup i do. theres a little metal thing at the slot at the back thats preventing the bracket from slotting in. the top of the bracket keeps going to the top of the port.
