From what I can gather the OP has about £1k and likes the sport /super sport bikes. Travel wise to get a bike I have no clue.:)

Oh GothicGhost, have you considered a naked bike? they are half a bike cheaper to repair if you drop it lol. Look up Honda Hornet, Suzuki SV 650, Suzuki Bandit 600/650, Kawasaki ER 650, Honda CB/F 500/600, Yamaha FZS600. Just an idea.

Brackish I do like them naked bikes I really like the honda hornet as well. I have about 100 miles pickup range from Luton.

@VoG I am not normally that impulsive I just thought I would take a risk lol.

I could pullout cause the guy never used his own pictures in the auction so I thought that is what I was getting and only because my girlfriend found his gumtree add I got to see the first set of real photos after I have won the auction.

Just seems like a lot stress now lol :(

@Barry Smalley yeah looks nice :D

This ones looks nice ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/suzuki-gs...6541940?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item43b3a1eaf4

Talk to my m8 again (gf dad) and going to contact the seller in the morning to let him know I will not be buying the bike based on having the wrong pictures in the auction and what seems to be damage on one of the fairings.
And if anymore more ebay auctions come up I will take my time and look at everything.

Thanks guys for your advice and help :D

Well looking at the bidding history looks like some shill bidding has been going on.

All so why would you buy a motorcycle with out seeing first especially if you have no knowledge of motorcycles.

Looking at the picture off the top of my head 250 to 300 max I would pay and then brake the bike.

But if you are OK with your hands then maybe a little project for you.

I could be totally wrong and the bike could be a great find but my gut is a rumbling on this one :D

Why not wait until winter you can shave off 20% on most bikes by then.

Yeah my gut telling me to stop and don't hand over any cash now^^ :)

There are far more reasons to walk away from it than there are to buy it from a newbies point of view, for a first big bike it would be an utter disaster, unless you know your way around bikes, & are proficient with a tool kit, leave well alone.

Not withstanding the small matter of the ad totally misrepresenting the actual physical condition of the bike, & the question mark over the actual mileage.

Actually, walk away?, nah, ide bloody run if i was you.

VoG....

Oddly enough we are not related!

And my impluse buy was to get a bike that I can keep for a long time. Should hopefully have the money early next year to get a second bike as a replacement for when I strip and rebuild the Rex. The Rex is staying with me! :)

Was ridden 70 miles back home no problem by my mate.
It needs some cosmetic work but I can do that over time.

I really do like and I have to say thanks to you guys for steering me away from the GPZ 600.

Now to get my full test done :D.

Thanks
