I've started doing the same thing, it seems to help a bit with using as little energy as you need.

Is that allowed in competition?
 
Mixed bag tonight

Squats were all out of sorts, couldn't get the groove :/

These were all over the place, after the 240 I dropped the weight and tried to find my groove again but it wasn't to be.

Bench was okay, still can't get tight enough in the bottom position. These were comp standard with lift out and full commands.

Yea it's totally fine in comp IIRC, just won't get the start command until you're all set tight again :) takes stress off the shoulders as well!

That's interesting! It's good that they allow it. I'm not a fan of lift offs, they feel awkward to me. I would like to possibly try some comps if I get my bench to where I want it to be. :p
 
Ummmmm not sure what to make of tonight....

Feeling awful, tendons on fire, back fried from squats on Tuesdays....

Bored :p final week is dull! Hit my openers on Tuesday, walked out my final squat and slingshotted my final bench.

Nothing else to report, weight is around the 100kg mark, everything is feeling decent (except forearms for some unknown reason)
