Google Android or Chrome event 24th July

I think Motorola will hold their own event for the x. Google cant be preferential to Motorola (and hold an event for them to launch off, despite owning them) as it doesn't look as if the x will be a nexus device. The other android partners would not like Google launching Motorola's products at its events.

I would be happy for the nexus q and nexus 7 to appear. Android 4.3 doesn't look like a huge iteration (more tweaking). I think Key Lime Pie will be a big thing later in the year though.

Yeah I'm guessing it will be Android 4.3, the new Nexus 7 and maybe the Nexus Q. There are so many leaks for 4.3 it would be very strange for it to not be announced. Don't expect too many changes from 4.2 though, I think this is more of a small step to allow manufacturers to catch up with Android updates.

Sure the google experience gs 4 device isn't a proper nexus device and it got shown of at google's i/o event, although Samsung probably paid them a **** load to do that :p

I don't see any reason why google can't show of the X at their event, especially since they own Motorola and have supposedly been involved with the production of this phone, not to mention that it will probably be sold via the google play store.

Personally I don't think it will be the X though (at best, we might see 4.3 demonstrated on it but I think the X will have its own event).

I think they will definitely show of 4.3 (highly doubt it will be KLP [I also think they would have said "come and join us for desert" instead if it was KLP :p], expect that to be with the next new nexus phone around November/December) and a new nexus tablet device and maybe something else.....

New Nexus 7 for sure.

The Nexus 7 refresh finds its way into retail inventory software, we hope that means it soon finds its way into our hands

While we still can't say for sure when the Nexus 7 refresh will be available, we now have a pretty good idea what it will cost. In this leaked inventory screen, we see listings for both the 16GB version, priced at $229, and the 32GB version, checking in at $269. Those prices aren't bad at all, as the rumored specs for these show a Snapdragon 600 processor, 5MP camera, and possibly a 1080p display.

Both models are simply listed as quad-core, so there is no new information on that front. We also see that zero units of either size are in inventory at this particular ninja's location right now.

With retail locations getting ready for inventory of the new Nexus 7, the wait can't be very much longer. That's a good thing, because we're getting excited for some new Nexus gear, and possibly the launch of Android 4.3 to go with it.

In fact I'm hoping for a refreshed Chromebook line-up. 1440x900 res Chromebook with all day battery life for under £250 and I'm all over that.

Certain retail places have begun reducing the price of the current 32GB Nexus 7. Saw one place online pricing it at around £179.

So looks like the new N7 will be showcased! As for OS. I reckon 4.3. Tho why they can't just jump to 5.0 is beyond me!

They probably saving 5.0 for the new Nexus phone. I expect 5.0 to be a major major update with loads of new features so what better way to show it off than on their own Nexus phone line. I wreckon the next Nexus phone will probably drop around September.

I reckon 5.0 will have a few Chrome OS interrogations......

4GB of RAM? Android 4.3 must come with some serious bloatware! :D

Edited for clarification:
256M*16 = 4Gbits, that's the configuration and density not memory size. 4Gb = a 512MB memory die, how many dies are on the DRAM stack is anyone's guess. All (?) Quad core snapdragons have a stack of 4 for 2GB total.
