Im after something small and simple. Small install/download and simple in that there is not loads of extra stuff that i wont use. Just the basics.

I'm sure either would be fine for your needs. There's no law that says you're only allowed one browser on your system at a time, so just install them both, try them out and see which one you like best. :)

As already stated above, install both and choose. Both Chrome and Firefox are simple, and both have a variety of extensions/addons.

A load of one-word posts saying 'Chrome' and 'Firefox' doesn't exactly help the OP very much, does it?

I don't know how you can recommend Firefox over Chrome to a poster looking for something 'small and simple'. Firefox is more versatile, but Chrome clearly fits the bill if you're looking for small and straightforward.
