I'm sure either would be fine for your needs. There's no law that says you're only allowed one browser on your system at a time, so just install them both, try them out and see which one you like best. :)

Chrome or IE9 if you like it fast and simple.

Firefox if you like your addons.

As already stated above, install both and choose. Both Chrome and Firefox are simple, and both have a variety of extensions/addons.

Although Chrome loads faster, I prefer Firefox.

I keep trying Chrome but the Awesome Bar in firefox is just so much awesome. Better than the other browsers by miles.

A load of one-word posts saying 'Chrome' and 'Firefox' doesn't exactly help the OP very much, does it?

I don't know how you can recommend Firefox over Chrome to a poster looking for something 'small and simple'. Firefox is more versatile, but Chrome clearly fits the bill if you're looking for small and straightforward.
