not sure if I'm being stupid but when it's released to UK/EU retailers to sell, the likes of play etc who are already listing it, won't google be selling the EU version directly?

Yeah so far so good, first thing i noticed was that is is so fast! Screen looks awesome too. pic dont do it justice tbh. looks really vivid and rich colours.

Gonna unlock the bootloader later. This phone wants you to do it.

That is the same guy that does the CyanogenMod ROMs for the Magic. He really knows what he's doing.

Hmm I like the looks even less now... the bottom plastic part really does look cheap and a bit tacky.

I have to say I agree. Most manufacturers atleast make cheap plastic look like metal or atleast smooth non cheap plastic (see the white plastic on the Magic), but the surround on the Nexus just looks.... like cheap plastic.

But still, the phone itself looks good.

Once you've rooted it & installed addons, can you still install official firmware updates and things in the future? Basically, does it limit you in any other way that warranty voiding?

You think? Its a lot less obvious in the flesh than that pic, gues sthe fllash makes it show up more. Its actually got a rebberised like feel to it. better for holding it. The last thing i want to do is drop the bloody thing! lol

Meh glad some pics have been uploaded from members. It's fugly compared to an iPhone to be honest, and watching videos of it's features I honestly think it's pretty lame. Google fail.

The nexus at least wins when it comes to multi tasking and the openess of their OS compared to Apple

...give it time and i think the iphone will become a bigger fail due to the fact that apple cant see past their noses...unless by some miracle Apple decide to open their OS.

Its the difference between wanting someone that DOES things good, or one that LOOKS good. Apple iPhone fanboys are the latter.

As someone once said, iPhones are for people who want a phone to say something about their personality, and if you need a phone to say something about your personality, you obviously dont have one.

Me, id rather have a £400+ device in my pocket that does something usefull.

I have a few issues with my Iphone 3GS but on the whole it's a damn good phone.

You're sounding just as bad as Dangerstat.

I played with a Nexus One on Friday and it's a lovely phone. I'm tempted to sell my 3GS just to give it ago...but I do like my Iphone a lot so we'll see.
