Google employees given Google Nexus

I think I'm going to hang tight and wait untill this comes to europe properly.

Google's been getting some stick over in the states as any problems or queries it is answering by e-mail, where as people are used to talking to a customer rep on the phone.

Customers are also getting bounced between T-Mobile US, HTC and google as to who is the right person to talk to regarding queries, or issues that some users are having with 3G. For some, its hardly there, and for others, it seems to disappear. Don't know if anyone from UK can comment on their service?

Posting from mine : -) It's amazing so far but I've never owned a smartphone so that probably makes doubly good. Will update again when I get comfy with it

Right i have had mine from 4 today and have been on it non stop. This is my first Andriod and ive come from an iphone 2g ive had for 2 years.

First impressions were "wow what an amazing screen" The colours are so deep it realy trumps the iphone screen. The OS is very snappy and sleek. Has nice styling but i think maybe iphone feels better. Camera is quite good and video recorder too also good.

MP3 player sucks a little bit hopefuly there is an app for that? Browser seems faster than safari on iphone.

Speakers are very poor imo sound very tiny. With heaphones on sounds as good as iphone

Realy loving this phone

Thanks I'm sold :) Any issues with 3G in the UK that the americans have been experiencing?

Just hope the multitouch gets more usable on the phone, should be some hacks I guess.

A way round the 3g issue is to force it to use 3g only [It appears to be a software issue, not a reception issue] the obvious flaw being when you DO drop out of 3g signal areas you won't have any data in at all :s Seeing as i'm based in central Cardiff that'd be what i'd be doing

New iPhone will still beat any phone I think

Have a look at the possible specs

jailbreaking for goggle phone?

Gaining root access to an OS didn't come about because of the iphone.

Also, for android phones you aren't exploiting a hole to gain access, so it is different.

The largest case of "jailbreaking" I can think of was the original xbox. The PSP is another one.

Tell us more!

In £ how much did it cost, how much for shipping, how long? WE MUST KNOW MORE!

Is the phone only showing US services, apps, etc? I'm tempted to dump my HTC HD for this!

Total cost with mains charger is around $580 - shipping is 2 working days from collection via DHL express (could be a day longer, depends where in UK you're based)

When people pay, are your credit cards charging a 2.5% fee? Or are google checkout charging in pounds?

Most cards do charge a fee , I used my USD card - so hopefully they charged me in USD :o
