Also torn between this and the note 4... Concern is its going to be too damn big but after a year with my note 3 anything smaller wouldn't suffice so bring it on!

Never really used the spen or multi window. Only stuck with the note models for the large amoled displays. Nexus 6 could be my next device.

I'm the exact same.

I've stuck with Samsung devices for two reasons only....Larger screen and amoled screen. I've hated everything else about them, from touchwiz to their useless gimmicks, to their shoddy build. Plus they are useless at warranty claims, buying direct from google will be a breath of fresh air for me.

I can't wait for this nexus device....

If the reviews are positive I'll more than likely go for it. It's huge but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I reckon once you're used to the size you will find it hard to go smaller. Just think what browsing web pages and viewing videos will look like on this baby.

I expect the reviews to come any day and would be surprised if the hardware build and software (Android 5.0 Lollipop) gets anything other than generally positive reviews.

Regarding the 6 inch display screen size, phablets are hugely popular now. I read recently that they are particularly popular in Asia, which is a true growth market, unlike Western Europe which is largely a replacement market. So for the next billion users who will get online for the first time from a mobile device, not a desktop device, the 6 inch screen size is likely to be hugely popular among the affluent members of this group. As for the less affluent user, esp in emerging markets like India, Indonesia, Phillipines, etc, the Nexus One (sub $ 100 SIM free) will have Android 5.0 too so we will be able to see the benefits of more developer interest as the concept of Android fragmentation becomes less significant and as users we can enjoy this increased developer interest---also 5.0 has 5,000 new APIs for developers too.

Want.

I had a quick look on xda and as I expected they are going nuts over the price.

I still can't understand the issue. The phone on paper is one of the best smartphones out there, yet is cheaper than the closest equivalent note 4.

Were people honestly expecting to pay about 300 quid for this or something?!

The nexus 5 was cheaper but on paper it was not right at the top in terms of spec. The note 3 for example had better spec.

This nexus 6 is pretty much on par with the note 4 aside from slightly less "megapixels" and no fingerprint scanner. But the nexus 6 is water resistant and has a bigger screen which I would take over more megapixels and a fingerprint scanner.

I like that its full price. Google can no longer hide behind the fact that its £350 for bad battery life, subpar camera, speakers etc etc. If its not best in class or close enough in everything they it can get ripped to shreds like it rightly deserves.
