I forgot to mention, I bought one of those sim card cutters from Amazon. That was a hella scary moment, putting a lot of my weight on this device to cut my sim card! But it did the job absolutely perfectly, so no messing around with a new SIM and waiting for it to swap over etc.

I am switching from EE to Vodafone, so have to letter the number port, just wish it was done the day they said.

*i could* go and get a new sim from EE tomorrow and then hope my N6 is unlocked, but all sounds like hassle and cost, so just gotta wait it out to Monday and then i can use it as a phone rather than a table :D

Me too yes. I am getting some annoying lag.

I also want the LED to work. After having it with my S4 and my previous two Blackberry Bold phones, I decided I really miss it!

Just played around with light flow and have the led working.

Wish there was a 'catch all' option though, so I could have the led come on red for any notification, and then for something specific like a missed call have it blue instead. Would rather that than having to go through and add loads of notifications.

Does it pulsate or just stay on till you dismiss the notification?
Is there a time out option? Dont really want it to come on when im sleeping only to drain the battery till i wake up....

Yeah you can put the app in sleep mode, and stops all led notifications. You can choose certain notifications to ignore sleep mode too.

The led is just on solid until you dismiss it (you can set when it dismisses, I have it so when I turn the screen on the led turns off).

Right, I'm in the middle of trying to sort the encryption thing, so far I've unlocked the bootloader, and now the tutorial video linked a page back is showing how to install a custom recovery after unlocking the bootloader, is this needed for me to later un-install the encryption or flash 5.01?

How should I proceed after unlocking the bootloader? I want to flash the 5.01 and then flash the decryption as well?

I've barely used the custom recovery on my phone.

To update to 5.0.1 you need to flash the new system.img from the bootloader with fastboot, and either the new stock kernel or the patched version without forced encryption, also flashed from the bootloader. You can encrypt at a later point even with the patched kernel, rather than being force it just becomes optional. Or you can always flash stock kernel again via bootloader.

There is a new radio to flash as well.

Is anyone else having issues with calls and 4G? If I place a call it drops to 3G as expected to make the call, but if I'm on 4G and call the phone it just goes through to voicemail. Shouldn't the phone drop to 2/3G and receive the call? I know it has signal for voice calls as I'm trying this all out at home where I can make calls no problem.

Is there a setting in Lightflow to turn it off after an hour or so automatically?

For each notification you set there is an option to turn the led off after 1,3,5 etc minutes up to 24 hours.

Thanks. Testing it out now.
Wonder how much it will affect battery life if i set the light to stay on for an hour or so.....

How do you set it so it doesnt come on between certain hours like in the night?

Use WUG's NRT toolkit.
It automates the whole process.

He is releasing v2.0 tomorrow with full support for 5.0.1

In the app you can enable/disable sleep mode, not sure if you can set it by time or if it's just a manual thing, I've not tried using it. Might be able to use tasker to disable it at night?
