For any noobs out there, as am I, wugfresh's Nexus Root Toolkit is an amazing piece of software, I spent ages trying to do stuff through ADB etc... and whilst I got part way through, I soon hit some road blocks, but the NRT program allowed me to do all I wanted with minimal hassle, I wish I'd listened to those that have mentioned it before, I'd have saved myself lots of time and energy :)

Finally on 5.0.1

For those of you on 5.0.1 (32GB devices), in settings>storage, what are you showing as 'Total Space'?

Mines showing 22.29GB, it was 25.94GB under 5.0?

(Edit: Just re-locked the bootloader and its gone back up to 25.98GB!)

My phone is showing 25.98Gb
[5.0.1 bootloader unlocked, rooted and decrypted]

I know over at XDA there was a long discussion where some people were showing less storage after rooting and they were told to factory reset

Yes I saw that too. Also some people with 64gb were being limited to 32gb storage for some reason. Showing 41gb here so all good!

Really like this phone!

Lightflow enabled the LED for notifications which works great!
Double Tap to Wake so no more reaching for the power button!
Percent Enabler to show the battery percentage in the status bar!

Couple this with my Moto360 and I hardly have to reach for the phone.

Just wish i bought the 64Gb version now so i could keep my nandroid and titanium backups on the phone rather than having to copy them over to the PC.

AMOLED will nearly always win over LCD on video playback tests, due to lower power consumption in the medium to dark scenes.

Web browsing with white pages...different story.

For anybody curious, the reason for this is that AMOLED displays have pixels that literally turn off when they're not being used (i.e. when the screen is black). Each pixel can individually be turned off so when there are dark bits on the screen, the pixels aren't being used, thus saving battery.

Other displays cannot do this, hence they use more battery.

I had a play with one of these in the o2 store.

It is certainly big! It doesn't feel like a step up in terms of speed over the nexus 5, just a large version of it.

There was a note 4 there and one thing that was interesting was that the time taken going back to the home screen after pressing the home button was the same on both.

The note 4 camera was much faster to capture but the software to then view photos was contrived. The nexus 6 was slow but the white balance was better than the note 4.

The nexus 6 certainly felt sturdy in the hand but was so large as to feel a little toy like I think this was exacerbated because it is made of plastic.

I need a new phone and I can't make up my mind at the moment. The nexus 6 is cheap and has the best software, the note 4 has android and a good camera, the iPhone 6 plus has a great camera and is polished.

Turn off encryption and this thing flies!

Doesn't feel like plastic- feels solid and sturdy to me.
