If the new 5.7" Nexus doesn't have an OLED display + SFF Speakers, I'll happily stay with the N6 for the time being. No way I'm giving those features up.

I paid full whack for mine and still happy. Specs wise, it's better in my usage than anything else I've had. The dual speakers work better than on the HTC as they're further apart (I think) and they're awesome. Camera is perfectly good for me as long as I keep it in HDR and the screen is fine as I don't spend much time outdoors. Quick charging is a godsend and it lasts a full day with brightness on max the whole time and medium usage.

It is, however, a pain in the butt to have in any pocket other than a breast pocket (how I smashed mine) or a pocket in a laptop case if you happen to carry one. I had an iPhone before and am still stuck in 'kid gloves' mode, not that it saved my screen.

Quick question about the HDR - is it real time / instant or is there a processing delay after taking a shot?

HDR Shots take under a second. There is processing after. However this doesn't stop you taking another shot straight away.

There was a camera update about a month ago that gave a speed boost.

Ordered a fosman glass screen protector for £6, then ordered some cheap 10 for £2 plastic ones of the bay till it arrives.

Don't like using bare glass, always scratch my phones and drop them.

Is that because you restored your apps? I would run at stock for a while. Might be a rouge app or data related to an app

Managed to get it to power off / crash in Safe Mode also. There's a big thread on the nexus board with this fault but it's mainly affecting N5's since the 5.1 update. Something to do with the battery.

Contacted Motorola anyway and they've autorised a repair so sent it to them (only have it since the end of March so well in warranty).

Not really no, Apart from OTA updates for francokernel which is pretty cool it is like a package really. I am using Kernel Adiutor at the moment on the M release & it seems good enough for free.

I was wondering about that, does it let you reinstall the kernel too? The frst time I flashed it I got an aroma installer to choose wake gestures etc but the second time I didn't. I have tap2wake but I'm quite missing the swipe gestures also and I'd rather keep it 'all-in-one' than use another mod. It's rather worth supporting the dev regardless, IMO. :)

Thanks. How does that work then? We can buy £5 of play store credit for £1?

Is there a reason I wouldn't buy 10 of them and buy a bunch of movies?
