Google Pixel 5

The 6.5 on the FE I just bought is as small as I would be willing to go. Part of the problem is the move towards a taller/narrower aspect ratio. When watching videos in traditional 16:9 format a 6 inch screen is basically a 5-5.5 inch display.

I am quite looking fwd to a slightly smaller foot print. Having all 4 pixel XLs in the past I have started to appreciate the smaller size on my work iphone.

I used to travel with work and would prefer larger screen but that won't happen again for at least a year with covid so in the mean time this phone might stay in my short pockets

Anyone else's Pixel 5 bought from the Google Store being delivered by Royal Mail? I thought that was strange was expecting DPD, UPS..etc

I've got a DPD tracking link in the Google Store, which shows something in the system but no details.

Just now got a UPS email saying something is being delivered tomorrow, but beats me what. Might be the phone or the case I suppose. Very strange.

I've been to CPW today to take a look, that Sage colour doesn't look too great in-person... might be one of those colours that grows on your over time.

I've been 'lucky' enough to speak to one of Google's representatives on-site, he didn't seem too clued up. I asked him about the whole headset deal and he said you can claim from the point of order, which seems different to what says in the terms?

Google seem to have activated the self destruct that manufacturers put in their phone when a new model is about to come out. Last night my battery died quickly and all today the same. 3 times I've charged from full to empty today alone and with minimal usage. Phone gers really hot when it's draining the battery fast too.

No app is showing in battery usage more than normal so can only assume the battery is buggered

I had/have the same issue.
Did a full charge then left my phone with screen off. It went down 30% in around an hour. The only two apps showing in the battery stats were tunein radio and Plex. I changed these so they couldn't run in background and force stopped them and now my battery is behaving.
Try the same and see if there's any apps showing after a.full charge but no use.

Flop :D 7% off using Curry's vouchers bought through my works perk scheme.
After selling the headphones and my pixel 2xl the phone will have cost about £350, which although it's not the ideal phone for me it feels worth that much to continue getting the Pixel experience on a refreshed phone.

Been pondering too long to get one to replace my 3XL. Scared I'll miss out on the headphones so not going to bother.

I think it's crazy you can get the same headphones for free with the 4a which is £500!

I had the exact same thing and did exactly the same with Tunein restricted it, but even after it still appeared in the battery usage list. I uninstalled it and the issues seems to be resolved. My phone was dumping battery at a fast rate and felt hot most the time.

Submitted my claim for the headphones this morning (I ordered on the 1st October) and within seconds it was validated and they confirmed I'll receive them in the next 60 days.

Tune in has been on my list of battery usage every time Iver checked and its never been used by me so I have restricted it now. Hopefully will solve it for the next 3hours until my 5 arrives

Grab the serial from your Google order ( if its shipped) , this is your IMEI. Then got to the claim page and fill out the details. The form specifically says 14 days after you've ordered, so if that's the case for you complete the form and take it from there.
where do i find the serial number? my order page has a google order number, which didn't work, and dpd have a parcel number which also doesn't work. can't see any other numbers

Can claim the headphones 14 days from purchase date...so when I receive my phone later today I'll claim it :) I think the "processing" time will bake in the have you returned it part. I pre-ordered on the 30th so should be fine for claiming.

DPD is always in the afternoon for me so just waiting on my time window now.

My Pixel Case is arriving via Royal Mail tomorrow and my Chromecast is being delivered tomorrow also.

It's the serial number on your shipping email I think.

edit: oh ok, click the order number on your shipping confirmation and look at the pixel 5 and price on the receipt and it's just below the descriptions "serial"

Yeah, starts with 352.

Mines has arrived, not powered on yet as busy with other stuff but liking the size of the device, nice one handed usability.
