Google Pixel 6/6 Pro

My replacement P6 seems to have developed a new odd 'feature' - it keeps turning the Auto Rotate off! It’s has happened a bunch of times now, and I am positive I haven’t touched it myself – I never have a need to turn it off, so it seems the phone is doing it itself. After the fiasco of my first one failing, I am wondering if this is a work-around for the shoddy gyro sensors in the phone; maybe without this button toggling itself, I’d end up with the same problems as my last P6.

I find my P6 quite sensitive to unlocking itself putting it back in my pocket and ending up toggling things like Auto rotate and Do not disturb before it properly locks itself.

Hi Guys

My wife currently has the pixel 3a and she loves the camera, it takes better photos than my Samsung S10+

She is looking to upgrade and was originally going to go for a "good as new" pixel 4a on EE, but the offer disappeared. They have a good as new pixel 5, but doesnt seem to work when she goes to order it.

So she is considering the Pixel 6. she doesnt do much out of the ordinary, but she does take loads of photos.

Are you all largely happy with yours now?

Thanks

...I never experienced any of the problems most people had. My only disappointment was the fingerprint reader being a bit cobblers but that seems to be hunky dory now. So yes I would say I'm still happy, if not happier now.
I would buy another if that's anything to go by :)
Mine's a P6pro btw.

It's a step up from my OP7TP phone, dark pictures especially. It does look over processed in some cases due to Google not yet properly adapting to the larger sensor but compared to my brother's 3a XL it still looks better.

I moved from s10e to pixel 6 and love the camera.
I ended up hating the cameras on Samsung as photos were over processed and waxy looking.
I take loads of pics on holiday and indoor settings and again, the Samsung was rubbish in low light.
The pixel 6 indoors is amazing. The flash lights and remains on till pic taken which means no red eye in photos.
Really happy to have made the switch.

I really like the Pixel 5. Lovely fast finger print reader on the back, in the ideal location. Excellent size and pixel cameras.

Same here. Personally for me it's the best Android phone currently available by a long way.

Oddly just gone back to the 5 myself, I like the 6 but really into running and these days and find the light weight 5 and size suits me.

Hoping the 6a will be be of similar size to the 5

Why do we ever need a phone with a glass back ? Adds weight and another thing to break!

The 5 is so light with the resin / recycled plastic combo.

I get glass gives a premium feel, but 90% of people stick it in a case anyway

Anyone else thinking of moving or moved to the S22?

No but what stuck with me when watching the camera reviews is that Samsung favours a slower shutter speed which can mean slight movements add motion blur.
