Google Pixel 6/6 Pro

Oddly just gone back to the 5 myself, I like the 6 but really into running and these days and find the light weight 5 and size suits me.

Hoping the 6a will be be of similar size to the 5

Why do we ever need a phone with a glass back ? Adds weight and another thing to break!

The 5 is so light with the resin / recycled plastic combo.

I get glass gives a premium feel, but 90% of people stick it in a case anyway
Yeah the "glass back = premium and you will pay more for it" is sort of hilarious when you consider glass is more or less a free material (in its raw state).

I'm not sure many people would be happy with a phone made of sand.

I find my P6 quite sensitive to unlocking itself putting it back in my pocket and ending up toggling things like Auto rotate and Do not disturb before it properly locks itself.

I've encountered this a few times when putting it into my pocket and noticing that the screen was lit up. As i have smart unlock enabled, it does mean it's quite easy to accidentally change something on the screen.

The s22 looks nice, if a little similar to the s21. Way too expensive for a phone though in my opinion. I bought Samsung phones in the past, but now they've gone the way of apple I look elsewhere.

If they fix the issues on the p6 and I see a decent deal, I may yet pick one up.

My OnePlus 7pro is getting a little long in the tooth now.

I'm becoming somewhat concerned with my 6 Pro in terms of the signal issues.

It drops out multiple times a day, all in different locations and here we are, approaching the end of February with no fix.
If it isn't resolved soon, I'll see what CPW have to say and if I get no joy, I'll contact the credit card company.

Mine got better after they patched, but lately it has started to become increasingly bad again, it's dropped 3 times today. Really am not happy with this phone, the best part about it has been the battery, but could be the last straw.

just curious.. what would you like CPW to do ?
replace ? imagine it was a sim free as you are thinking of contacting your CC company ?

contract here so not many options now I think...

for me to look for new phone since having this since September is silly...shouldn't happen...battery was great at first, and it ain't now and its only 5 months of usage ?

new bug after recent factory reset is that notifications are broken...WhatsApp wont ping . it will ping when you open the given chat and read it through...not when in the background.. all over the place. ...

My phone (P6) isn't broken enough that I'm looking to switch so early, but it has been bugged to the point where I doubt I'll pick another Pixel in the future - I definitely won't pre-order.

I used to work for cpw, with pixels we would inspect for physical damage and if non was found we'd send the customer a new phone (well the repair centre would) May have changed now.

I don't have smart unlock enabled, I assumed I'm catching it enough that'll it'll pull down the notification panel when I slide it into my pocket

Was out in the city yesterday. My other half has pixel 5, same network.
Were checking one restaurant out and wanted to check menus etc in advance...my p6 got stuck half way up losing the page...her p5 did the job as intended :/

Is this due to the Pixel 6 going with the Samsung modem instead of the usual Qualcomm?

I am.

just hard to justify extra £ towards it after selling p6 or trading it in...

I have both the P6 Pro & the S22 Ultra - Sim card is now in the S22 Ultra. The S22 Ultra just feels a better device all round.

I don't game on phones that is a none issue to me.

The SPen is so nice to have back.
