Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

I had to send my Pixel 6 Pro back for repair to Google, sent me a prepaid return pack and then they just sent me a refurb phone as replacement.
The replacement phone looked brand new and never had any issues with it.
It took five days from me sending the device, to them dispatching a replacement.
You got a 7 Pro refurb as a replacement?

Or if it's just another 6 Pro there is a thread here https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/google-pixel-6-6-pro.18928502/

My Pixel Watch broke today. It was acting up for a little while - assistant coming on all the time as though a button was stuck. Then the back cover came off.
Seems to be a fairly common problem. Purchased October 2022. I contacted Google via live chat and have been asked to wait up to 48 hours for an email addressing the issue.

Hopefully I don't have to buy another watch.

Android 15 update has done some weird things to my battery - either usage / remaining charge info is glitched or theres been some massive improvement to battery life.

Currently sat at 93% with 1hr 29mins SoT after fully charging it / restarting it following the update landing this morning... weird!

Interesting, I'm about to upgrade to the 9PXL as my battery life is shocking - don't think I've had the update yet so will take a look...

Sadly this must have been a glitch of some kind. Same battery % today and only 42mins SoT. Knew it was too good to be true hah!

Android 15 seems very dull. Gone are the days of UI overhauls and exciting new features. They took longer than normal developing this and if someone had updated my phone overnight and given it back, I doubt I'd know the difference!

I'm looking at the Pixel 7a as I need an Android phone to develop apps for it and I'm curious if the 7a is a good choice? Also I'd like to know how long it will receive major Android updates.

If it isn't a good choice can you suggest something else for under £500?

Just picked up a 7a, very happy with it for about £200.

7a Android OS updates until May 26, Security updates until May 28

E: Sorry, no idea if it's good for app development

Noticed that hotspot has stopped working on my Pixel 7 recently, unsure if it's phone or network related. Data still works fine when out though with 5G. I'll turn hotspot on, connect to it and there wont be any itnernet conenction to the device that is hotspotting.

Try another device to connect to the hot-spot
