I think he just means he got a refurb as a replacement. Like for like model. And in response to furton

My Pixel Watch broke today. It was acting up for a little while - assistant coming on all the time as though a button was stuck. Then the back cover came off.
Seems to be a fairly common problem. Purchased October 2022. I contacted Google via live chat and have been asked to wait up to 48 hours for an email addressing the issue.

Hopefully I don't have to buy another watch.
