Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

I've been thinking about picking up a pair of Pixel Buds Pro from the MM if they are sub £100. There's nothing wrong with the buds I currently use, in fact they're incredible and I figured the Pixel Buds being £180 will be better but I've been checking out reviews on YT and I'm not inspired, then I checked reviews for my current buds the Soundcore Life A2 NC and they are actually very highly regarded. I've had mine since May 2021.
I'll let you know shortly if they are any good. I have pretty much all of the main stream wireless buds. I'm using the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and they sound fantastic. Also I have Airpods Pro Gen 2.

I grabbed some refurbished Sony WF-1000XM4 for £139. That deal is finished but the Buds Pro looked OK.

I also have a ton of TWS. The 2 I most use are...

... the Galaxy Buds Pro when out and about. Good enough quality when using an equaliser, bit a bit light on bass impact and depth. ANC is okay nothing spectacular. Very nice fit and touch controls.

For sound quality I prefer my Soundcore Liberty 3 Pros. It has absolutely superb bass quality and overal sounds excellent. Mainly use these at home as they're a little bulky.

Pixel buds Pro on the way.

I have both Galaxy Buds Pro and the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and I can tell you that the 2 is an improvement on the bass front. Almost borderline too bassy on some tracks I listen to. I prefer not to equalise and just use them without tweaking. The gold standard of being netural has to the the Airpods Pro Gen 2. Hopefully the Pixel Buds Pro will be as good as the Buds2 Pro.

Got my WF-1000XM4 and unfortunately I cannot get on with in-ear buds. I had tried some in-ear many years ago and had the same problem with my ear shape but thought these may fit.

So regrettably I've put them on members market :(

Got confirmation my 6 pro trade in has been approved. £320 plus what I sold the watch for makes it a decent upgrade me thinks. Happy with that.

The trade-ins and free gifts are making annual Pixel upgrades an easy decision :p

The upgrade from Pixel 6 to Pixel 7 Pro has effectively cost me nothing (if TCB pays out).

Got the Pixel Buds Pro delivered to me this morning. Giving them a good listen to them at the moment whilst working. I like how it is integrated with the Pixel 7 Pro straight off the bat asking me to link it up to my phone without going into the bluetooth menu which I was half expecting. Initial thoughts on the sound is a lot more neutral than the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, but isn't as exciting. The settings does now have EQ adjustment as promised by Google. Fit wise, they are slightly more comfy than the Buds2 Pro, but dont as easy to fit and forget compared to the AirPods Pro.

So far I will score 7/10 for the Pixel Buds Pro, but can't really complain for the £105 I paid for them, and for those getting them as a freebie.

Now still awaiting for the Pixel Watch to be delivered.

I think it will be to do with it doing it while you still use your phone. In the past, you might only wait 5 minutes, but you had to let it update in a reboot. Now, you carry on using your phone while it updates, I think it almost makes a copy of your OS, updates the copy, then when all is ready you move from the old to the new. All the time, you can carry on using your phone, so they would argue it doesn't really matter it takes so long as it doesn't interrupt you.
