Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

Yeah my watch was delivered today, first impression is it's tiny, quite a feminine look and feel to it. Will see if it's up to the task of replacing my aging Polar watch or whether I pass it to the other half.
Certainly not for people with beefy wrists.
Gold and Hazel watch has arrived just now.

I think the Silver on chalk combo looks great....
And consistently finishing a 14hr with over 40% battery remaining now its settled.

Can anyone recommend a screen protector for the watch? Or is it not worth it? I tried one from Amazon but it was crap

Looking to pickup a Pixel Watch as an upgrade from my Fitbit Inspire HR. I quite like the Fitbit eco system and the pixel watch is basically the best Fitbit, WearOS would allow me access to Strava, Google Pay and so forth.

On the other side I am looking at the Garmins and thinking they would be better suited as more fitness focused but still have Garmin Pay etc.

Anyone moved from Garmin to Pixel Watch or have any thoughts?

I'm finding the face unlock quite nice, not something I ever thought I'd be bothered by since I've had no issues with the 6 or 7s FPS.

Also the macro mode is nice, battery life seems better than my 6 pro so far but that may just be because it's a brand new battery.

I'm even considering ditching the case because the hazel is such a nice colour, don't think I've run a naked phone since the galaxy s3 days.

Overall a decent little sidegrade considering it's only going to cost me about £250 by the end of the contract.

What is your first impression and battery life on Pixel watch? Thinking about Christmas present for wife.
My first impression are it's pretty nicely designed that suit the minimalistic style. However I don't think will stand up to the rough and tumble at all, hence I got a bumper case for it and I'm sure the screen will be scratched soon. The battery life is just ok with it lasting only about 24 hours with the AOD. I wear my smart watches to sleep and it loses about 15-20% during my 6-7 hour sleep. Which it is pretty much on par with my Apple Watch 4. All in all it is not worth the £339 or £379 asking price to be honest and I would be properly disappointed if I paid that, but as a freebie it is ok. It a £199 watch at most I feel, hopefully they will improve on the next iteration of the Pixel Watch.

Thx m8 for your opinion helps a lot.

I ditched my screen protector after the fingerprint reader would just not be reliable.
I constantly use it for I'd verification here in Sweden it's really important.
Don't buy Panzer glass simply doesn't work.
Overpriced *****.

Also getting some weird little glitches when using swipe pattern unlock. It kinda hangs onto a blank screen or half rendered one.

Going to Prague next week hoping to taking some decent pictures. Probably end up with either a broken screen or someone stealing it .

Popping by Berlin on the way home gonna see if I can find a decent case. Ja ja sehr gut! Sweden sucks when it comes to online shops.

My personal experience, without the sweetness of a free watch or earbuds is not to buy this phone. It feels so cheap tapping the screen, like my old Redmi note pro from 7 years ago. It's like tapping on a drum. I'm not sure why the screen feels a bit lifted, bloated, just not sat right.

I was experiencing a few issues with hanging apps on the watch and apps not updating - then realised I hadn't connected it to the WiFi. I had assumed the credentials would've been copied over from the phone on setup.

I'm wondering this too. As I placed my freebie order as soon as it opened and jm still waiting. But it's not been 3 weeks yet. I'm just impatient lol.
Those who got the free watch, did you get a dispatch from Google or did it just arrive out of the blue?
I got a SMS and email before it was dispatched.
