Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

Would any of you bought this phone 7 pro or 7 if it wasn't just for the free gift?
I get vibes that really sweeted the deal.
Probably not. I'd have likely held out for other phone releases. Had to buy for both myself and my wife so that's two watches we'd miss out on, and we put them to good use.

I was going to regardless because I was in the need for a new phone and was going to go a bit all out to hopefully last a few years.
So, when the day came I just pulled the trigger as I intended to, can understand without gift it could be classed as a bit overpriced, but I didnt see it that way, still cheaper than going top level Samsung's.
I took the airbuds as the free gift so could have got something more, but chose something I would use instead.

Just received my Pixel Watch, been playing with it for a day after using a Galaxy Watch 4 and before that a galaxy watch 3 before hand for a couple of years.

Always use my watches for exercise tracking etc.

So far preferring the interface to the galaxy watches , quite a lot of customisation and appears to track accurately, going to do some exercise today and see how it works out. Sleep tracking worked well.

For a first watch I think it's a great effort, I thought it would be too small but it's actually okay. Battery is the biggest concern I see but we will see how it settles down.

Looking forward to seeing how they evolve these, a slightly bigger model with bigger battery maybe next year would be awesome.

Just received my watch too, not opened it yet. Currently using a galaxy watch 4 also, not sure if I should swap over to the pixel watch as my job is harsh on watches.

Anyone have get 'reset your watch - disconnect & reset to re-pair your watch with your phone'?

I'm getting this once a week, otherwise I can't get it to reconnect to my phone. Frustrating as you then have to setup the watch from scratch and add all the payment cards to google wallet.

My wife had this yesterday

Free watch here and 10% student discount.

Absolute bargain for a top tier phone. Worked out great vs the competition.

I just couldn't justify it (I have the 6pro and already a Fitbit sense) would have been a lovely upgrade though. Cherish that student discount as you'll miss it when it's gone! Ha

Is anyone else experiencing internet dropouts on their Pixel 7s? Both my 7 Pro and my wife's 6a are experiencing dropouts on both WiFi and mobile data. My wife's 6a is definitely worse, but I've started seeing it the past few days and only a restart solves it. It occurs when the device is seeing good connection and often 5g in the case of mobile data. Looks like there's already a thread about this on Google forums and potentially a known issue. I'm going to log with Google too as definitely not right.

My dad's 4a had similar issues when he first got it, think it was a software update that went wrong after a while it just corrected itself.

Pixel Buds Pro definitely a level below the Airpods Pro's I had which is disappointing. But hey, they were free and they're good enough. I'm only content with them., so far. Active Noise Cancellation isn't as good. Music quality isn't as good and I've only used them once on the treadmill so far and I just couldn't get the right one to stay in. Left one was fine after a few adjustments but the right one I decided to take out before it fell out and got launched across the gym. I took part in a 24 hour endurance race yesterday and used them for Discord chat but even the battery didn't seem to be anything special (Noise cancellation off) and were down to 20% after around 4 hours. I've just changed the tips so hopefully that will help the fit.

They'll do, and that's it.

Wow, do you generally consider yourself having large ears? I doubt they would sound that good with that bad a fit. I'm quite a large guy but I have cycled and jogged with mine and never been close to having them fall out? For me the ANC seems pretty stunning, but again, that would depend on a decent fit in the ear.
