Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

They do sound like the ones to go for. I'll see how I get on with the more basic one I have on route and if I think it needs more, I'll pick a set up!

Watches then! I don't like the look of the pixel watch at all :(.

I've never owned a smart watch but thinking about one now to go with this phone.

I quite like the look/price of the galaxy 4 classic 46mm. I can get it at JL with a discount to £195 which seems fair for a first time watch owner. No huge loss if it's not my cup of tea

Any thoughts on this combo?

I'd like to use it at work for controlling music etc, messages and so on.

That deal should have expired the day it was posted. Nearly everyone got rejected, then it went out of stock, then deleted from the site.

In fact I'm not sure anyone was able to actually order it. It was at least £100 cheaper than the next best deal, which does raise an eyebrow. I'm thinking a marketing tactic.

That sucks.

Best stay away from these crooks from now on.

I think a good deal if you have a studentbeans voucher is through the BT shop, buying the phone outright on Paypals 0% 24 months offer. You get the pro for £648.
Sounds compelling! Not sure what a studentbeans voucher is? But I've unfortunately now purchased the handset at the regular price minus a trade in offer :(

Oh bugger, I can generate studentbeans codes if you needed one. I actually ordered one myself late lastnight, and to my surprise it came this morning at the crack of dawn.

Despite me buying stuff I don't need, I treated myself to a steamdeck at Christmas which got all of an hours use on boxing day  . I'm selling it, and switching to a bigger phone and moonlight streaming. Whilst smaller phones are still my preference (which pretty much leaves me with just the smaller galaxy s22), my OCD hates anything other than the stock pixel android you get from google.

Surprisingly good, and plenty good enough for some bedtime gaming

That does sounds like a decent deal, would you be willing to generate a code for me?

Damn I definitely missed out there aye ;)

Ahh we'll appreciate the offer anyway pal, great stuff!

Love the phone so far :)

Do wonder if I should have gone standard 7 as it is a bit of a handful but I'm adjusting

The camera on the 7 Pro is better than the 14 Pro and the latest Samsung S22 Ultra.

I had a watch through this yesterday and its quite clear to me why (I don't own any of them btw). The Samsung's photos in particular look pretty awful when compared side-by-side.

Anyone else have their phone refuse to connect to their car?

Myself and my other half have a Pro and standard 7 respectively. For both our cars after the Jan update the BT stopped connecting. My Pixel Buds and Garmin watch still connect fine. It's an issue that's made it into a few articles so hopefully the Feb patch resolves it but it's really very frustrating.

Saw this just now and remembered your post.

The company also mentions a fix for Bluetooth connections with "certain devices or accessories," which could help drivers who have been unable to pair their phones to their car's stereo system for the past month. That said, Google's language here is pretty vague, so make sure to test your connection once you've updated. Here's a complete changelog for what's included in this month's patch:

I've had a few weird quirks since with the car BT connection. Occasionally phone rings but either can't accept or it rings only once.

Audio streaming doesn't seemlessly resume where it last left off. In fact it refuses to do anything until I re open the music app on the phone.

Also noticed no difference with the Pixel Buds Pro, only in the car.
