Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

Does the Pixel 7 not have fast charge? very interested to buy the 128gb 7 off Amazon right now.

Fast charging – up to 50% charge in about 30 minutes – with Google 30 W USB-C® Charger with USB-PD 3.0 (PPS), sold separately

Small print:

Fast wired charging rates (up to 20 watts on Pixel 7 and up to 23 watts on Pixel 7 Pro) are based upon use of the Google 30 W USB-C® Charger plugged into a wall socket. Actual results may be slower. Adaptors sold separately. Charging speed based upon testing with device batteries drained to 1% and charged with a Google 30 W USB-C® Charger. Charging testing conducted by Google in mid-2022 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings with the device powered on. Charging speed depends upon many factors including usage during charging, battery age and ambient temperature. Actual charging speed may be slower.

Bellroy cases for the Pro are good, just need a screen protector if necessary. We've survived without so far but were planning on buying the Whitestone Dome kits, just never got round to it.

Battery life is good. Took mine off charge today around 12ish and it's on 86% now.

Pixel 7a

At launch price Vs the discounts you can get on the regular 7, not worth it. When the 7a gets some nice discounts then it will be a steal.

Manage pick up a Pixel 7a today with staff discount for £359.20 didn't get the buds which i'm not bothered about tbh, only going to be used as a backup to my S23 Ultra for work ect.

Overall though nice little phone, doesn’t feel cheap neither.

Price for normal folk is too close to the Pixel 7 and I'd rather spend extra and get that to be honest.

However, at your discounted staff price its a great deal.

Will be a solid purchase for everyone else when these will be available for nice discounts come end of the year/early 2024. Think the Pixel 6A dropped nicely on Vodafone's website to £200 a couple of months ago.

Great. I would go with Pixel 7 instead. This is a step down version of Pixel 7. This has plastic back too.

For the money even at £449 it's a good phone, it goes up against the Samsung A54 which is £449 for the 128GB model, & the iPhone SE 2022 again £449 but for only 64GB.

Both the SE & the A54 have better this and that over the Pixel 7a, but as an all round package mid range phone the 7a hard to beat really.

I agree they should have kept it at the £400 mark same as the Pixel 6a was, but like you said discounts will come soon enough and bring it under £400.
