GoPro 3

Yeh I've got cineform, but it's not working properly, seems to be crashing when I try to extract the file after it's been converted and I've adjusted the filters etc.

Getting the GoPro has just made me want to get a mac even more. Final Cut Pro does look amazing tbh.

Yeah final cut pro is awesome, especially as you can edit the files straight off the camera and play around with the framerates without it dropping frames like in other editors.

There's plenty of decent Windows suites though, a lot of guys use Sony Vegas.

I should really start to learn Premiere Pro properly, I just couldn't get to grips with it when I tried it last!

I should as I have it along with PS CS6!

Getting excited now, not long to wait though till it arrives! Ross let me know if you need help with CS6 ;)

Having ordered a GoPro from Evans cycles when the offer came up I've been looking around for good offers on Memory cards, nearly bought one today and just double checked the GoPro website to see if I could find the write speed to the card and I noticed these new hero 3's take micro sds!

FFS, I'd not even spotted that!

That's kind of annoying, as I've got a good few SDHC cards that I use in my DSLR and on my Hero2, which I think I will keep. I don't have any micro cards.

don't forget that it will run out of battery long before the memory card is filled.

I bought x2 32gb cards for my Hero 2, but I generally run it inside/outside the car with it plugged into the cig lighter socket, so no problems with battery life.

Interesting, this will be my first GoPro so I wasn't sure who quickly cards filled up/batteries ran out!

16gb Cards fill up before the battery runs out on my Hero HD 1, not sure about the new HERO 3 run times....

lets have a google!

one review mentions 50mins of footage but doesn't specify Res.

I can't remember the exact numbers, but for the 2 I remember 2.5hrs being quoted, probably for the battery, although not sure if that's for filling a 32gb card or for running out of juice.

But...... I do remember basing my x2 32gb card choice on:

1. Card wouldn't totally fill up if on 1080p battery power only.
2. Think it gave 3.5-4hrs @ 1080p, so needed 2 for a full days worth of roadtrip driving.
